Nights cavalry are quite clearly aligned with the erdtree if im not mistaken. Perhaps the cast of Carian or Gelmir characters would be more fitting. Ancient dragons could also be candidates.

Night's cavalries are under Morgott's command, so they're under the golden order, Mohg is entire separate because he wanted to establish a new order with the formless mother (but got miquellested), stone golems are just blacksmiths for messmer's army, albinaurics are manmade life, they're trying to get to Miquella's haligtree as their paradise, grafted scions are just victims

Basic Glintstone sorcerers as Bishops feels too basic, however, and the scholar children don’t have much in the way of dynamic poses. I’d instead propose Battlemages or Crystallians as Bishops and the Marionettes (perhaps a group of them) as pawns. For the Erdtree Faction IMO keep the Tree Sentinels as Knight pieces and the Warrior Jars as pawns from the video, as they’re too iconic. It also leaves the Leyndell Knights for other potential sets, like a Morgott or Godwyn set. On that topic, a proposed Haligtree set: Pawns: Cleanrot Knights Knights: Albanauric Archers (On Wolf Steed) Bishops: Rot Kindred (Posed doing their annoying projectile attack) Rooks: Putrid Avatars (Posed differently to the Avatars on the Erdtree set, different colouration) King: Miquella (Classic child form, don’t know yet if the DLC gives him a new one) Queen: Malenia (Base form, but with the wings of her Goddess form)

The issue with Radahn is there’s no real good Queen candidate, at least as far as I know. Also proposal for a Rykard/Blasphemy faction: King: Rykard (Just fit his head to convey scale) Queen: Tanith (And her Crucible Knight) Bishop: Godskin Apostle Knight: Abductor Virgin Rook: Godskin Noble Pawn: Man-Serpent Alternatives: Make the knights Recusants (Bernahl and Patches, for example) and make the rook the Abductor Virgins, and make the bishops the egg-headed Man Serpent Sorcerers

I am in awe. As A 3D modeller and 3D Printer myself, I must say you did a damn of a good job. And printing it on FDM? Insane. I was expecting you to pint it from Resin the whole video. You picked great characters for that dude. I love it. If you would want to go a little bit harder, you could design a second set to like... have two unique sets of chess which is something a lot of those thematic sets do. Anyway, amazing work.

@@GuidoC-Design its doable. But difficult. A) you could get this from a multimaterial printer if the model would be made with the differently colored parts in account. I personally do not know how its done, but printing in multiple colors is a thing. B) you could get a inkjet 3D printer that prints from white filament that gets painted when going through nozzle. C) for the exact rendered look, you should print the figures on resin printer, get an airbrush with very good chrome colors like Alclad chrome or smthn and then get some flexible masking stuff like Silly Putty and really dig into the effort of painting the parts by hand.

Would be interesting to see a set for each major faction or a set based around a central Demigod as the king piece. Like the Redmanes, The Cleanrot Knights, Godrick's Gold Knights, Carians, etc. Just for example, Miquella as King, Melania as Queen, Cleanrot knights as knights, Putrid Avatar as rooks, Haligtree soldiers as pawns, and Servants of Rot for bishops.

Pawns should've been the crucible knights since they're godfrey's soldiers, plus there's 16 pawn in a chess board and according to elden ring's lore there is 16 crucible knight

What almost impresses me most (it's a tight race though because this whole project is REALLY impressive) is the fact that the higher detail "photos" of the statues you keep showing before the actual real life prints are just renderings. The concept at the end as well just looks so realistic. Crazy good work!

This looks absolutely fantastic. You should do an NPC version of these pieces as the white set to play off against the black set of the bosses. Ranni as the Queen would be an example. There are plenty of NPCs.

Your 3D modeling ability is impressive. As a subject for chess pieces, Elden Ring really seems like a perfect fit. A quick note: in almost all chess sets the King is the tallest piece, which makes recognizing which piece is which easier in custom sets like this one. In order of height it should be: King > Queen > Bishop > Knight > Rook > Pawn.

Oh my gosh this looks so awesome, it would be nice to have them as a Part 2, Ver 2 Elden Ring Chess pieces Gods and Demigods!! - White Chess Pieces Queen: Marika crucified and cracking, with Red Wolf of Radagon at the bottom signifying her connection to him and a nod to Malekith as well! King: Godfrey ripping his Lion and Transforming as Hourah Loux. Bishop: Godwyn with his merman tail and dying as the Prince of Death with Deathroots all over the place with his Death Dragon on the side! Knight: Malekith the Black Blade with his Beast Clergyman armor ripped apart while pouncing with his weapon! Rook: Morgott, while a top of his Lyndell tower or something, transforming his weapon with his other light sword, weapons, and his Geyser spell activated on the ground, and Mogh at the top casting his Nihil Spell and gaining wings! Pawn: Godrick with his knight on the side, while transforming into his Dragon Arm form! Black Chess Pieces Queen: Rennala holding her Amber Egg similar on her Phase 1 but she's inside her Moon Spell instead, with some of her sweetings on the ground while on clash with Rellana her sister with her empowered swords while also inside her Twin Moon Spell too! King: Radagon casting his Elden Ring shattering spell similar on his Boss Fight, with the Elden Beast on the side (you can switch it up with the Red Wolf from Marika's side if ever). Bishop: Ranni sitting and Blaid on the side with her former empyrian body on the ground and her Dark Moon at her back shining! Knight: Radhan on his Horse (First Version) but with Miquella on his shoulders while fighting Malenia on her Goddess Form but still on her clothes! Rook: Rykard as Lord of Blasphemy as is, with his former look as a painting being destroyed on his lava aura, his Wife on the side and the weapon that can destroy him! Pawn: Melina burning with her Gloam eye open and with Torrent only on her side, in the Middle is the Erdtree but on the other half is the Shadow Realm with Mesmer in the midst of plucking his eye out, already mid transforming to his Base form!

We have no idea what the Gloam eyed queen looked like as far as im aware, Placidusax is the first Elden lord, so he also served the greater will like marika, and they never even met so how would they be enemies. The furnace golems are under the command of Messmer who also is on Marika's side. Crucible knights use aspects of the crucible but they follow Godfrey so that wouldn't work either.

⁠@@KevinOnEarth_why the need for condescension, Marika, herself, is never actually fightable, her effective role in the game is mcguffin, the condition for finishing the game is to be Elden Lord (consort to the ruling god, ex. Marika). The king is not supposed to be a fighter it is a role that you must capture, an effective win condition alike to being marika’s consort. The king must throw all of its lessers in between the enemy and itself so that it can survive,pawn, rook, knight, bishop, queen, just as marika does to morgott, Godfrey, radagon, maliketh. Unlike the queen, making moves, taking pieces, on the battlefield, with power and capability. Forget that marika is a queen herself, the way she functions matches the function of the king perfectly, not the queen. “dO you EVEn pLAy cheSs?”

This is amazing, BUT I reckon there's still more you can do with this concept, namely an opposition, this could be a number of differing factions but my vote would be towards Ranni's conspiracy. The pieces being: - Ranni as the queen - the Tarnished (in the Vyke or raging wolf set) as king - Blaidde as the Knight - War counsellor Iji as the Bishop due to his role as an advisor and Wiseman or Seluvis for the Aesthetic - Ranni's Rise as the Rook/Castle - a Black Knife Assassin as the Pawn Again love the video and the product of it!

This looks amazing, alternatively for the sets to involve more characters you could have based it off of the Liurnian wars. The Carians having Rennala and Radagon as the queen and king and the Golden Order having Godfrey and Marika. The pawns could be the basic soldiers you find in the game. The knights could be the Carian Knights and the Leyndell Knights. The rooks would be difficult but I think having the Golems and the Dragons would work best. Lastly, the bishops could be the Perfumers and the Glintstone Sorcerers. The colors I'd go with for each side would be white and gold for the Golden Order and Black and Blue for the Carians.

That's freaking beautiful, even as just display pieces. I've seen other people make the suggestion for a Carian black set, but i'll make mine: Renalla as queen Radagon as king Loretta as knight Iji/Carian Trolls as rooks Miriel can still be bishop (all things can be conjoined, after all) And Aubinaurics as pawns
