I started late building my luxury bag collection and boy oh boy it was a slippery slope! I slowed down this year. I still appreciate what I got because most of it costs almost twice now. Hermes is beyond my budget ,not my first choice aesthetc-wise, so I don't have any H but I got a Chanel, LVs, Gucci, YSLs that I love and enjoy using. Ideally, around 8 is enough, I learned what works for my lifestyle and I'm branching to quality clothing and shoes, classics that would last years. I will let go when I can get most of my money back because you are right, it's actually not easy to sell. These big resellers will low ball you. Bags aren't really investment, stocks and shares are.

What I’ve come across lately is most of the designer items are pretty but…useless, a leather wallet is indeed beautiful but it is not waterproof or lightweight like a nylon one. When I start to traveling more, I start to appreciate lightweight items more, I recently bought a nylon wallet for $2 dollars (yes it was on sale) that is lightweight, waterproof and compact enough to carry cards, cash, coins, keys without worrying the keys will scratch the interior, the wallet also fits nicely into my pant’s pocket. Suddenly a $500 leather wallet just does not make sense anymore, no matter how beautiful it is.

100%! Looking back, I realized I spent the most money I had ever spent in the worst period of my life to date. Swapping out that shopping habit is hard in the first few weeks, but it's just a lot of trial and error to see what works to fill the void. Great video. I can see that shopping can be used to fill a void in your life. I used shopping just to impress my friends but that changed when I moved house and found new friends. I still love designer bags but don’t feel the need to own them now
