Ha, in the early to mid 80’s I would have won almost every tournament I fished in Pennsylvania with a limit of the smallest fish you were catching. Times sure have changed and you guys are good. I remember a friend sending me a new bait from Florida that was hammering the fish up here- a 6” Red Culprit worm fished Texas style. I’m not crazy about some of the technology available today but the amazing number baits that have developed over the years is fun to try to stay up on. I’m 79 so your videos remind me of the excitement we felt as we launched. Thanks for that! Do me one favor, release the fish a bit more gently, don’t like seeing them flung back to the water. All in all, thanks for reviving those 40 year old memories! Great videos. Good luck in your career. I’ve been buying some 6th Sense baits, I assume you are involved with them.
@zakksrage15 күн бұрын
People of your day probably thought a flasher was cheating too. Times change. Without innovation and change we would still have square wheels. You could get 20,000$ in technology for free but I guarantee you woudnt be able to put a single fish in the boat with it. It still takes skill and time to learn.

Bottom line is, yes, it's very hard to be a co.Angler.Everybody has a different style of fishing.If you're a slow methodical fisherman, soft plastics taking apart a place then yes, it's very hard to fish.With guys that all they do is move.Move move move but again it's their boat and if that's their style you have to adapt.... Now one thing I will say is annoying is that if you do Start. Catching up and the guy on the front of the boat gets p***** and starts moving the boat away from the spot where you're catching them.That's annoying and I have how that happened...

Hey Ben. I had a Zark rod or should i say two...They both snapped. Customer service didn't want to help me after the second one broke. All i did was cast a square bill crank bait and the blank snapped while casting on the bend. Didn't hit the rod on anything. Thats never happened to me before. That was a good year and a half to 2 years ago. I gave up on the 6th sense rods because it seems like the materials beings used to create the rods were from sub par material. Do you still stand by your rods? Have you ever had any of these problems? Why was customer service not helpful after it broke a second time? Its just tough because everything is so expensive and when you buy a product from your favorite fishing KZbinr you hope it will last. Not break twice and not have customer service back up their product.

If you want to be randy blauket, your gonna get crushed. Hard to win ata major disadvantage, even if your a hater youve got to learn it win with it and get on the elites then you can be John cox and not use it and try to stay in the top 74 or whatever
@MillikenFishing Жыл бұрын
Everyone in the field is using forward facing sonar. If it were outlawed for everyone, I think I would be more competitive. But there is zero legitimate arguments for it being outlawed in tournaments. The technology is literally the same as putting a flasher onto a flat 2d screen. Technology has moved at a snails pace in the fishing industry, and there’s literally no other advancement past FFS. The biggest advancements in technology that help the top tournament anglers find and catch fish are more accurate mapping and side imaging.
