If you're spotted by a mech for the first time, you can hit the f4 key, putting your arms up. This will give you a chance to leave the area without being shot, but only if it's the first encounter. I love this game, just not too crazy with the puppet spawn system that's in place at the moment. Hopefully, they will improve it in the near future.

Hey buddy, great video, again! The first big military area was the submarine base, at 36:05 you discovered the (broken, of corse!) cargo elevator, at 36:48 if you went further some steps, there were the stairs to go downstairs😉, why downstairs, well, down there is the tunnel-system (also with mechs) and at a crossing point there are the piers for the submarines and nearby is the high-loot area (sorry for spoiling), "if" you went in on the opposite side and stay close to the coast, you could go in over the submarine piers directly😉. The flamethrower attack is also new for me😳😃 Now to the building tips; First of all, to build (big structures like walls etc) you must "claim" a area with a flag, little things like boxes, signs etc you can build everywhere without claiming. What i know to my break, it depend on the single player settings, i think around 15 days (in game!) it needs to let the wooden box despawn, the big different between claiming and not claiming is, with claiming you can repair everything over the flag and that area is safe from get hit by an cargo drop (no joke, i hear stories that a cargo drop destroyed their little bases!!!), but it can only happened open fielded, not in/ or at any poi and without you must repair every single thing! You need A LOT of material to build structures at your own, there are 5 levels > sticks, wood, wood/metal, bricks and concrete, upgrading that far is really really hard work! Very good location btw, in between 3 big pois and is as it self an poi too, respect! Take/claim it! Keep it up, you "survive/fight" very well buddy, ah, yes, the missed arrows are not lost (well, now, they are lost😆), they stick anywhere behind the puppets in a wall or a tree or in the ground, even it is 100 feet away😉. Here some more tips; all kind of seeds are also edible, if you have the space in your inventory, try to reduce the layers of clothes when you're in the warm biom (for example no underwear and no jackets), it let you less sweat and less need to drink very often, that "randomly" shooting from the mechs, when you are in cover, is only to confuse and scary you, in buildings, when you are on the ground (x), you're to 95% safe, don't fall into that trap. Keep it up buddy, can't wait to see the next one, when you start to build a "home"😉. Nice greetings

Vodka (and alcohol overall + isopropyl alcohol) can be used on rags to disinfect them (and I think it can be used on wounds as well, to clean it out from germs). Sticks, cut up long sticks (unless you need specifically long ones) into small ones, because when building things, both long and small works as "stick", so you get more from chopping them into small ones. If that makes sense.

The risk to reward in the mech area's is pretty low. The amount of time and effort it takes to infiltrate those area's is rarely worth the effort. My other gripe is cabinets (police stations, bukers etc). The rarity of useful weapons or weapon items is too low imho.

Getting a car is a real boon for both mobility and more importantly, storage. Additionally you can expand the car's inventory by building multiple boxes and placing them inside the car. Around the towns you can find cars that are not burnt down but missing parts. If you find one the most important one to check if it has an engine because it's the only part you cannot salvage and carry. You can salvage parts from same type of car can carry them back to the one you are building up. Make sure you carry atleast a Jack (to take out or put in tires), car repair kit (to repair the car) and a large gas container (full) unless you wana push the car all the way to a gas station. To make life easier for you before you go to hunt for a car, make a medium battery charger and charge a car battery. Although you have an alternator for WW (a small red car) , you cannot start a car if the battery has no charge. Keep up the content and goodluck!

The best stuff is deep inside huge bunkers at the airfield. You can find a lot of super rare weapons and gear in large quantities but it's very risky.

I highly recommend you to assign a binoculars & all the other stuff from your inventory, which you frequently use, to the quick access numbers, so you don't have to open your carriage every time you need it. Might save you some microtiming =) GL

Hunter 85 is the worst rifle in the game, the mags from the drop is for the carbon hunter which is an awesome rifle. The ammo is for the carbon hunter and also the M1 rifle which you can find alot in the old WW2 bunkers like the one you went in after the long train bridge. The hunter 85 is not worth alot so don't waste your weapons kit on it. The chest will not despawn. To build any structures like foundations, walls, a well etc you need to place a flag down as a land claim which you will also interact with to repair the structures within the flag area over time

I died a very slow death from infection. It seems to me that when it gets into your blood, it's a real issue. It took about an hour of my HP ticking down slowly, after the infection was left un treated. When you have a wound that says it has infection in it, it seems thats before it hits your blood stream. But if it just says infection where your wounds would be, it is now in your blood. Garlic won't treat this, i dont think. So if you can, it's probably best to treat with garlic ASAP, but an antibiotic should clear up a blood infection. IDK i'm a newb, but this is how it's seems to me. If alls you have is antibiotics, you can probably wait to treat, until it gets bad enough to start ticking your HP.

Pro tip if your still playing and in a pinch for infection just remo0ve the clothing on your wounded part...Leg injury remove pant undies waist bags. That will remove the external pathogens that are usually the problematic part of infection status.

Im really enjoying your Scum playthrough - thanks for the hours of entertainment :) Small tip : Clean clothes means less infections so just step in some water with some soap in hand to clean ur gear(might need a few bars). Also on the chest despawning situation it usually takes around 7 days for a chest to despawn on MP servers so I wouldnt worry about it. Those yellow screwdrivers are the best, nice find 😁😁

the C0 area is the radiation zone. Most people like to live in the b0 or near that zone because the f the scrapyard coz you need loads of scrap and other building material and most airdrops fall on the right side of the map.. Just a tip. You can also craft chests and bury them and mark them with a blueprint. Tire kits are kinda useless currently. If a mech sees you he is laser focused and can shoot tru walls and stuff.. White light they are calm. Yellow they are alert, red light RUNNNNN 😂😂.. There is burn gel in game but not sure if it works.. Yeah mechs also have their flamethrowers.. You are so brave 💪 and very good at this game already. I enjoy it very much ty 🎉

Keep that SF-19 and find more mags for it. It holds a lot of rounds and comes in handy if surrounded. Block 21 is another one. As others have already said, you missed the best loot areas at the sub pens. Multiple ways of getting down there. Note sure if there are guides to hellp you. If not, watch other player's videos to learn the ways to get in and where the good loot is located around the map. I say this because I hate to see you miss out but there is something to be said for self exploration. It's just hard to explore when you are getting shot at by a mech. P.S. Hunter 85 is crap but the carbon hunter is excellent. Hope you find the rifle. I get the feeling you don't know anything about guns. 22 is a pee shooter, 30 06 will take down almost anything. Maybe you should do a little research so you don't pick up junk and leave the good stuff behind or sell Place a flag or box go bye bye. Keep it up, you are doing great

I was going to say that the airfield you went to in A4 after that base that had a few mechs raoming around was a good base location with the space it had for lots of food production. But that gas station in Z2 with lots of space for possible vehicles or workbenches look really good and really close for traders.

I didnt even update the game at the time bcuz of not having wifi so i know it wasnt a partial wipe from a update. Hoping they fix this soon for now i just been playing nomad without a base lol its been fun tbh though without a base just always on the move

Another tip. If you have infections get somewhere safe take of the clothes from the areas where you sustained injury and lay down so that you can heal alot quicker. Once healed can put back on clothes no infection 👍😁 also becareful taking too many hits from puppets in the arms or you will not be able to draw your bow😂 ask me how i know
