Good review of the lens although I don't think you mentioned that it is a crop lens (I assumed as much given the cost and size but went to check). Obviously on the R5 a crop lens still gives you lots of MP to work with, but on my R6 crop mode takes the resolution down pretty low...

This is Bill, I have used a DX lens on my Nikon full frames for years and you're right you do lose a little bit of the sensor but I've never had an issue as far as resolution goes.

Certainly it is doable and actually less of a downside on a Nikon with a 1.5 crop versus 1.6. On an R5 you'd still have about 17mp but on the R6 the crop leaves only 6.6mp. Not unusable and either LR Super Resolution or Gigapixel AI can get some detail back but still something worth mentioning. Keep the videos going...good to have you guys back.

Basically yes. I’m getting a full round image on the sensor. I can use the crop mode in the camera to get a full frame fisheye.

I think you’ll be fine with a 24mp camera there’s still plenty of pixels left. Unless you’re making a 6 foot print.
