The family tournament idea reminded me of a thing I wanted to suggest. A character team tournament where the teams are composed of all one character. Examples would be Gokus, Vegetas, Gohans, Friezas, Trunks's, Buus, maybe even Goku Black and Zamasu as one team.

May I propose a shirts vs skins tournament? Like how we used to choose teams for pickup football games? Team shirts: ill give you the option to choose 5 clothed fighters. Only requirement is that they have a fully in tact shirt. No skin on chest showing Team skins: Broly, Z LSSJ or Super LSSJ, full power Bojack, GoD Toppo, Jiren full power, base form super buu or kid buu. I suppose for skins you can also do nail or bergamo if you want to count the scarf or not

I've done that, it does end with 48 teams if I remember correctly, it's a fun thing except the androids cpu make their matches so slow it hurts so much

I think a bandaid solution for the team battles lasting so long could be just having smaller teams. Obviously doesn't work for the Ginyu force or whatever, but you could do 3v3s for some fights. Something like Frieza, king cold, cooler vs Goku, Gohan, goten

I'm sure I said this in a comment on one of your other videos. You should do some tests with the battle strategies before completely giving up on full 5v5 team battles. There may be one that will make the CPU less likely to swap, or just so aggressive they never swap.

I've had another idea (bc I don't have the game lol). The Ginyu Force vs characters with similar concepts. Guldo vs Chiaotzu (Both have telekinesis), Recoome vs Broly (Super) (Both muscular), Burter vs Dyspo (Fastest in the universe), Jeice vs Frost (Both are underhanded fighters) and Ginyu vs Goku Black (Both swapped bodies with Goku). This can be a team fight or 5 1v1s, idm

For the team battles maybe you can try equipping the Balance Strategy: Melee item to the characters. I know it helps 1v1s go by a lot quicker so it'll probably help for team battles.

Bro, let me put you on game real quick. I love doing these cpu fights too & dude Goku’s AI was so aggressive but did not transform or switch out for nothing. If you give all the Goku’s except ui & mui the “Defense strategy:skills” or something along those lines, he’ll start transforming (& detransform) & switch out basically he’ll start acting like most of the other ai only it’s Goku’s ai if that makes sense. He’s still fairly aggressive & will transform, if his ai annoyed you as much as me, i hope this helps 🙏🏽🤣

I didn't think this was just a Goku issue, I can count on one hand how many times ANY CPU character with transformations has actually USED them, either against me or when doing CPU v CPUs.

I think if you wanted to do team tournaments, just 2-man teams could be a way to have team battles with minimal tagging. But I'm not certain.

I really don’t like Kid Buu’s model in this game. It just looks off & weirdly proportioned, compared to the series where he actually looks like a kid. Every time I see it, it throws me off…

Having done plenty of cpu vs cpu battles myself, I can say for sure that strong difficulty does NOT fight better in any way. They tend to just stand around and get confused, rarely using their abilities with a few exceptions. Super can be a little predictable playing against, but if it is just cpu, it is a lot more enjoyable. Especially since each character has their own little quirks making them either stronger or weaker and giving them more personality.
