From what I've experienced if there're ANY disturbance with whatever phone or tablet you're using the app ( think phone call, news feed notification, text message, etc.) with it screws with the connection with the amp itself. If you use it without the app just using the four built in pre-sets that problem will never happen. The amp seems fine but the app needs work. It also has problems with the iPad Pro's that have a faster screen refresh. Also that's not a woofer on the bottom...it's a passive radiator that's not powered. This thing is an absolutely wonderful little tool to screw around with and this is coming from a 65 yr old guy that's just starting to take lessons.

I broke my first mini. Literally lol. I put it on a desk and was playing through headphones. I got up quickly at one point and forgot I still had headphones on. From being dragged by the headphones, the mini fell off the desk and the headphone end broke the headphone jack. From then on, I couldn't play through headphones anymore.

Sounds like it would be a very easy fix if you take it to someone with electrician skills

@foljs yeah I thought so too. But I ended up just buying a new one and selling that one as is.

Please someone tell me if I can play on the street with the spar go or better the spark mini Thank you so much

Spark Mini, it sounds better.

I play on the streets in nyc and it’s pretty loud, you can deff be heard from across the street , still testing it out, but I was in a busy area and people could easily hear me if you’re within 50/100 feet

Or get an external battery for the 40

My Spark 40 loses sound after an hour of use. The power remains on, but the sound is dead. Very strange! The folks at Spark appear kind and responsive, however oblivious to the cause of this problem. As they say; you get what you pay for. I'm gonna give Yamaha a try. ❤

You said that they were responsive. Did they offer to repair or replace the unit?

mine started doing that every hour or so now It does it within minutes i figure I broke it and ordered a new one today from musician friend better support by far than ordering from positive grid direct

okay damn...so the amp got hard stuck and had to shut off by itself or by the drainage of the battery...How much time did it get stuck for? A way to hard reset the amp either on it or through the app would be nice since you holding the Power button didn`t do anything. Thank you for the video! I am waiting for this to arrive!
@PedalRebel880 Жыл бұрын
I don't really know how much time it took to stop getting stuck but definitely not a day or 2. It didn't drain the power enough too. I don't think and remember it being responsive on the app too. So yeah, limbo!
@ronoblivion4222 Жыл бұрын
Bro...hard reset is same as your phone. Hold the power and pair button till it cuts off
@PedalRebel880 Жыл бұрын
I did that, nothing happened.
@foljs5858 Жыл бұрын
That's an option if the power button is a hard switch. If it goes through CPU, then it wont work if the CPU is not responding.

Putting a microphone on it would be fine. There's nothing special about the speakers that preclude it being used with a microphone to capture the sound. Sound is sound, whether it's a 60s Fender Twin Reverb amp or a Spark Mini, and if you can hear it, you can record it with a microphone and it would be just fine.
@PedalRebel880 Жыл бұрын
Mic placement has always been tricky. You're right to say if we can hear it we can mic it. But perhaps you will need to consider if the mic is able to capture exactly what you need it to capture. Anyone who had their hands on recording guitar cabs will understand the pain when it comes to positioning the mic. Hence, I don't think and have any confident in micing the mini up. It sounds fantastic from how I hear it, I just don't think I can do justice by micing it up.
@foljs5858 Жыл бұрын
@@PedalRebel880 that's true, mic positioning is an art, but the mini or some other amp wont make a difference. Even the size doesn't matter much, in studios they used to routinely mike smaller amps, because they distort faster in lower volumes (than a bigger wattage amp) so they could get crunchy tones
@PedalRebel880 Жыл бұрын
@@foljs5858 well I'll be honest, I have never tested my theory on micing the mini. I'll give it a shot :)
