I loved my Nike Hyperfuse V360. The synthetic back was extremely durable, the leather and laces less so. Never understood why the 2014 idea so quickly died with the glove. Glad it’s back w/ Rev1x 😊
@lamambas9390 Жыл бұрын
It felt like it was never broken in. You could play catch for an hour and it would still feel as stiff as new. Don’t think anyone in the MLB even uses mesh/synthetic gloves besides Lindor

Question, do you think using a weighted ball to play couch catch with while breaking my new glove in is more beneficial than a regular ball?
@ballgloveking Жыл бұрын
Only if your glove is still really stiff, if you can play catch easily without a heavy ball I would just do that. Just throw harder!!

Interested in what everyone’s top priority is in a glove. Is it feel, weight, comfort, materials, brand?
@deepzone31 Жыл бұрын
As I have gotten older a big trick is getting the right model for my break-in style. This isn't always apparent to the consumer. Glove makers are starting to get this and state ideal break styles with the models. Glove channels like this are also bringing much better awareness to break in types. After that it is materials and build quality.

Might be a stupid question but what’s the difference between the cordura and mesh on other glove brands. Keep up the good work man
@danschilling5863 Жыл бұрын
Probably similar textile but usually they are leather backed anyways to hold shape so it really just comes down to looks. Function and weight would be similar.
@ballgloveking Жыл бұрын
Function isn’t very similar. This stuff is hard and stiff Mesh is softer and flexible.

What is better a regular leather Wilson glove or a super skin/spin control glove
@deepzone31 Жыл бұрын
Super Skin if you want a lighter glove. I'm going full leather if not. It will last longer. I have a 1799 Super Skin that came in contact with pine tar in my trunk and it melted the Super Skin on a hot day.

I think sometimes the type of dye used has an effect on leather stiffness. My black leather 44 Pro (mesh back) is stiff as hell. My other 44's (orange tan japan select, and oiled chestnut pro stiff CB44) are much less stiff.
@brettbedard7919 Жыл бұрын
Definitely agree. I’d go further and say that the more traditional the colors for laces makes a big difference in quality too in the long run. I stick with black, blonde, oiled Chestnut for leather. Use black and tan laces and add my color accents with the binding/welting and stitching. I see crazy color laces in posts and they always look ratty and cracked right out the gate. Damaged almost from the dye process.
@IgniteHP Жыл бұрын
It absolutely does. I own my own company and I can tell you the dye affects the stiffness
