As someone that can't buy any sims 4 pack or kits because of how expensive it is here in the middle east ( one packs price goes up in hundreds), it'd be really nice if there were more base game save files

sims 4 is *VERY* expensive, I’d recommend looking into sims 3 on steam when it goes on sale (I bought MANY packs for a few bucks a while back) that’s if you’re open to sims 3 instead of 4 though, best of luck from Canada ❤️❤️

I think the save of Plumbella is marked as needing packs because she built in each world with the packs they reference. For example, you will only find Base game and Strangerville items in Strangerville builds. But only base game items in base game worlds; Etc etc!

There is a save file by a simmer named JQ Hani who I think is from Indonesia, but she only uses base game and whatever pack each world came from. So all base game worlds are just base game and for example Britechester only uses base game and University! I really love her builds maybe you can check that one out (and any others that you find 😁)

I’m so glad you mentioned some build simmers LOVE clutter. I love clutter but not too much. I downloaded a save file not too long ago and literally didn’t play it after 2 families for a few minutes. I even felt claustrophobic!

It may be completely base game compatible except that when she made it she had those packs installed. I have an empty save that claimed it needed various kits I don’t have. There is literally nothing in it other than a single sim since TS4 requires you to start with a sim rather than a world and yet it still “requires” those packs. Most likely that is the case here.

As for the showers in night clubs, in Japan there are manga cafes complete with lounge chairs to sleep and showers! Trains stop running around midnight and don’t start again until 6 am. So if you miss the last train you just rent a little cubicle in a manga cafe to shower/nap/chill until morning. It’s a lovely concept except many of them allow smoking indoors 🤢

This is just my take, but I really like when world builder / save creator respects the Maxis default sims and keeps them around. Some more dedicated builder might've done a makeover so they doesn't look out of place among other townies; I'm still fine with this approach still like as long as it still recognizable as their original counterpart. What I don't really like is when they removes them completely from their save.

Love these saves. I bounce around the worlds every now & then so it's nice to see changes in each world. I will say though, I've never really been a big fan of Willow Creek or Newcrest. Back when I only had the base game I lived in Oasis Springs. Whereas now my Sims live in the snowy neighbourhood in Mt. Komorebi and they go to vacation in Sulani every weekend. San Myshyno is good for single sims who live alone IMO. I like to build families which kinda dictates where I choose to live. My Sims used to live in the 64x64 mansion until I got tired of Windenburg, it's a beautiful world but it's not the best world to live in if you want to experience sunshine. I know, Mt. Komorebi isn't either but I love the aesthetics of that world so it currently has my attention.

Satch, the word you’re looking for is “gazebo”. That’s that covered structure. “Pergola” is a structure that is usually attached to a side of a house that can be used as a cover over a driveway or to a patio deck. “Pavlova” is a dessert, isn’t it? LOL I’d love to try that one as we don’t have that here in the US.

You should review Devon Bumpkin's save - a fellow British creator and he is honestly the best at building and creating storylines, I'll tell you they are DRAMATIC. He is rebuilding the worlds little by little in his Let's build the worlds series and I believe already has a save for Newcrest, Brindelton Bay, Willow Creeks and Strangerville(my personal fave), and is currently doing San Myshyno (idk if I spelt it right)

The Sims 2 also had unfurnished homes that still had fixed items like the bathrooms, kitchen counters etc. It's definitely a lot more realistic & I wish TS4 did it too!

I got some of these myself, I actually made my own Special SAVE Game, but I just gave all the NPC's full makeovers, along with most of their homes, I even did the last packs Sims High School Years! I had started my SAVE around June of last year, and it took me a few months to finish it! I have all the pacts myself, so I had a lot of Sims and houses to makeover! I didn't actually change the clubs, bars and other community lots, except the parks in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs, but now that I realized that, I think I will work on that one! So every time I go to do a new family, I just use my own SAVE file which I labeled to NOT PLAY, so when I go to play either one of the premade families or a new one, I then save that one as a new one that I am playing! I also remade the High School too in my SAVE file, I made the first floor a bit smaller, making the lunch room smaller and making it easier to get to the different places in the school, but especially their classes! I also put a secret part of the school, down in the basement, through a hallway, down a ladder, I put a small storage room that looks like someone has been living in, with an old bed in it! I wanted to make it to use sometimes when I play with a homeless teen, so I can buy a lot, but then have them pretty much live in the school, lol! I've never shared my SAVE either, but only because I am not sure how I can share it online! But because I made this I haven't played a REAL New game since I finished it last year, and since I update it with the My Wedding, Werewolves and High School Years, along with all the latest Kits, I really don't have to! Plus it has the original Goth family, and yes Bella is still with her family, I don't like the SAVED games I have gotten where they took Bella out of it, no matter what, we can't play out the story from The Sims 2 and Strangetown, it won't really work that way! One person put Bella in some hidden room of another Sim, but she just got out and was walking around town, because you can't lock Sims up in some place and have them stay, while you play with some other family, even the Goths themselves!

I like Devon Bumpkin's, he gives his sims and builds so much soul and backstories. I think, he did Willow Creek, Brindleton Bay and he is currently working on San Myshuno Removing every single lot is what I did in my legacy game. I HATE how ugly the lots are on the sims4. They just take our money while doing less than the bare minimum.

I’ve noticed that if you save a game and you own packs, then uninstall some packs and go back to play your saves, the game tells you that your packs are required when they’re actually not. It’s a weird game bug that I can only explain away by assuming that townies are wearing CAS items from other packs. Cuz I know for sure I never used MWS, but a couple of my saves say it’s required

in my one game, i captured Bella Goth and changed her hairstyle. lucky me shes sad for 2 days due t someone dying. so she is crying all the time, and gloomy. i had her invite everyone from her household over, and i kept her grandkids (yes i play that neighborhood alot). the family has just adopted a baby, so im waiting until they trun into a toddler, and i will steal that one too! PS if you want to stop kids being afraid of the monster under the bed, spray under the bed for toddlers every night before they go to bed. also give the children a full size adult bed to sleep in. every kid that sleeps in the single bed, thanks to Parenthood, are afraid of the dark, even through adulthood, thanks to the monster under the bed!

The only reason i don't download these saves is the absolute chaos i would cause afterwards 😂 I don't turn off aging or neighborhood stories, and each house i.. uh- "visit" would get a free basement update for research purposes. So yea i wouldn't tarnish these lovely creations
