were is this apt located, perhaps in sector 5, rahova, because someone told me that water pipes in rehova are all in very bad condition so there is water pollution and quality of water isn't good, what do you think about the water quality
@lifeinromania16882 жыл бұрын
This is located near Soseaua Giurgiului. I am not going to talk for all Bucharest because I don't know. But I have lived in quite a few areas and never had any issues with the water quality. In fact, I drank water from the faucet for many years and was totally ok. I have not lived in Rahova, though. Also, because the city water pipes are very old and they are trying to repair them, some neighborhoods don't get hot running water or heating for long periods of time. So it is best to look for a place that has its own boiler.

Hello, Thank you for your very sensible and incormative videos. I am planning to visit Eastern Europe for 2 months starting in Mar or Apr. My plan is to fly to Bucarest, rent a car and tour the Balkan countries. You asked for suggestions on specific subjects. Car rental is my largest hurdle right now. I am 74, there seems to be an extra charge related to age. I am 6 feet 4 inches tall and weigh 270 lbs. A compact car will not do for me. Also, if you would think about how I should deal with a place to live. I prefer to have a home base and venture out on 3-5 day trips. An example would be to maybe Constanta and Varna for a couple of days each. Taking a different route going and returning. Take some time to plan another jaunt, repeat. I can afford around $350 per month rent. A lot of requests, I apologize. You videos are so matter of fact and concise. Lawrence
@lifeinromania1688 Жыл бұрын
Hi, Lawrence. Thank you for reaching out. I have to admit I don't really know a lot about car rental here but maybe I can somehow integrate it in a video. Are you considering living in Bucharest or Constanta? I can help you out with some information related to rent. You can definitely find a nice studio for 350$. Also I actually have friends who visit Varna a lot and say it is a beautiful place. So I think you made some lovely choices so far. Plus Bucharest has a lot of interesting places to visit and great food. Even great nightlife if you are interested.

Hi, Diego! Good to have you here. I would definitely not recommend Militari Residence. They have a lot, a lot of issues there. You are far away from the subway to begin with and the traffick in that area is usually horrible. If you see something near a subway station then, yes, the rest of Militari is a decent area. @lifeinromania16882 жыл бұрын
It really depends on what you are used to and what you are looking for. I can say for a fact that we have a lot of positive things going on. There also some negative ones, obviously. You will find the best internet connection, great food, beautiful women, usually friendly people, active nightlife, multiple farmer's markets and some beautiful other cities to visit only 2 - 3 hours away. You have the seaside only two hours away. Or if you prefer the mountains, those are 2 hrs away, as well. Plus Bucharest is pretty close to the Bulgarian boarder, as well, if at one point you choose to visit some cities there, as well.

Hi very informative video. I live in the uk south of England own a two bed terrace house just over 83 sq meters and they rent for around £800 per month. I’m amazed at the condition and poorly renovated the apartment is. It’s like going back to the 1960’s.
