I hope you are all having a good week! I have some REALLY good metal detecting videos on the way. Yesterday I found one of my largest silver items EVER! And I'm still sitting on other footage I need to edit. The weather and ground is PERFECT right now, so I'm trying to get the swinging in while favorable conditions persist.

I appreciate the videos that you prove that I haven't heard full of targets. The first thing I ever got with my metal detector which is a cheaper one I thought it was pretty cool that I found something but it was the aluminum foil from a cigarette pack like where they rip off the cigarette pack and toss it on the ground evidently

J.D., I love watching your videos whether or not you find an exciting find. Yes, I am disabled and mostly homebound and I enjoy watching your expertise. Who knows? - Maybe I might be able to take up the hobby someday and I learn so much from you. Plus, dude, you're such a nice person and it comes through. So, thank you for posting your love of this hobby ... great finds or not. Take care.

JD, I like hanging around while you talk and detect. Very calming. You keep it real with the live digs and trash or treasure finds.
@Maphusio7 жыл бұрын
I completely appreciate these unapologetic, unedited videos. As someone fairly new to metal detecting, it's refreshing to know I'm not doing it wrong finding trash that rang up beautifully. Detectorists often state that they find trash all the time but it's a different thing seeing exactly how each target was discovered and pulled up.

The lead is off of a nail head..I am sure over the years there was several out house locations, especially since your house was built in 1886..Some times they would dig another hole near the original location & move the outhouse over the new hole..I enjoy your longer videos where you show the targets sound & VDI readings,then showing all the items trash or keepers..Its more personal & real, when you detect you generally do dig a lot more trash than treasure.

I grew up on a farm with an outhouse for the first 5 years of my life, which we all used (4 generations in 1 very old farm house). My great grandfather, grandfather and uncles would move the outhouse about once a year, so I doubt that is where your outhouse sat for its life. I now live in a 170 year old farm house with an outhouse, which we now use for a pool changing house (covered wood 2-holer with loose sheet of plywood and covered with outside fake grass carpet inside. It has a neat lantern hook inside. We reroofed it a couple of times (we've lived her almost 50 years).

People don’t understand that wheat pennies were still in pocket change in the 70’s and almost any type of silver from Barber all the way to Rosevelt were in pockets until 1964 because these coins were regular pocket change until then. So just because you get a mercury dime or standing liberty quarter or wheat penny, it doesn’t mean it was Lost the year that’s on the coin..
