I will be replacing seals on both side windows, and replacing screws and butyl tape on the metal bars over front and back windows. I have some personal things to take care of this month, so I won't be making the repairs until May. I'm so thankful that I hadn't put up the wall covering, or replaced the flooring yet! That 'should' all get done in May. Lord willing!

Good job at finding the leaks!!! If it was me, I would reseal everything that screwed or attach to the RV shell before sealing up the interior.

I'm told that all of the screws should be replaced, cause they aren't stainless steel. We'll be doing that on both front and back metal strips, and the awning rail. Also replacing both side window seals.

Great hacks on finding the leaks. Would have never thought of using foot powder spray. Glad you found the two leaks and have tarp on the trailer.

Google is my friend. :) Actually, someone in the FB group mentioned "baby powder trick", so that's why I Googled it. The spray foot powder was one of the things that came up, and it was a car repair video.

I am glad you found the leaks. They can be a bugger to find sometimes. I keep my trailer tarped anyway when I am not using it. Now you will be able to finish up your renovations. Can't wait to see the finish product.

The old tarp left some marks on the camper. I think it's where the grommets were rubbing on the fiberglass. No big deal now, but after we paint it, I won't use a tarp anymore.

It is frustrating though that I feel like I'm going backwards with the remodel, instead of forward.

It will be a few weeks before I can fix it, but it should be good after the repairs.

Oh I’m so glad you found the leaks. Sounds like you’re going to have a bit of work ahead of you. I guess we can’t expect the seals to last forever. New screws too? Dang.

On the Facebook group, they said that the screws are not stainless steel, so they rust out and cause leaks. I will just be replacing the ones on the bar over the front and back windows. But first I will put new butyl tape behind the bars.

Good job on leak detection. A couple of things here. As you probably already know, calking is only a temp fix. It won;t last due to the oxidation of the paint or gel coat. The seal won't last. So you have to do it the right and proper way as you are with new putty or butyl tape. Which ever they used on your camper. BUT..... This will continue to happen and you will be finding new leaks every month or sooner. It's time for you to completely reseal everything that prodtudes through the camper. Sounds like a big job but you can do a little each week. First get the actual ongoing leaks fixed. Then attack one thing at a time. Anything that goes into or through the camper shell must be pulled and resealed the proper way. A lot of people think that plastic campers won't ever leak. As you can see that is not true. They just don't have any wood or metal inside to rot. But they all eventually leak. So every week now, pick something and pull it and reseal it. You'll be glad you did.

Thanks Larry. I will be replacing rubber seals on both fixed windows, and redoing the butyl tape, changing out screws to stainless steel over the hinged windows. I'll be putting new trim on the awning rails, and sealing them. Also doing all the little spots like lights, etc. I think that's about it. It's a pretty basic camper.
