you can tell when people are "too ready" and playing with too much knowledge. I've played most pros during my time on FACEIT and you could always catch them off guard if you played correctly. A lot of these people you'll never catch off guard, they'll always dodge your flash, they'll be a bit too quick with reaction time, they'll just perfectly peek the corner etc.

@@renyan I can confidently say I'm not nearly as skilled in the game as you, but I can tell quite well when I'm playing a match and the laws of causality just get fucked. It's hard to put it into words, but when you've played this game for years, you notice when someone is fucking with you like this. When the absolute stupidest rush plays work, but careful, relaxed and most importantly secure plays don't, you know there are people that know things that they're not supposed to and get overwhelmed by that information. This is of course not 100% accurate and I had one fan of yours challenging it (said W+ is a meta and that I clearly didn't follow you xd), but to me it's a reasonably good way of testing how people are able to overcome challenges. They usually don't, because the info advantage is superseded by three people fully-swinging you making it objectively more difficult to react. In a way, we're becoming dumber by these anti-cheating strats, I'm afraid.

The difference between cheaters and pros is like a high level chess bot Vs a grandmaster. Pros are good but they get caught off guard from time to time, hence "the timing bro". Cheaters are just too aware.

To be fair to tweeday though, ren is absolutely amazing at this. Lots of people call cheats even when the enemy isn't cheating, but ren generally seems to be spot on.

@@renyan I'm no where near your skill level but awareness-wise I feel you. It's easy to tell in this game the difference between a skilled player, and a player who knows where you are at all times. Watching demos has really opened my eyes, I've had teammates gaslight me into thinking an enemy wasn't cheating then I go watch the demo and he was cheating his ass off. Game is in a very sorry state
