I also get really panicky and anxious about throwing certain things out. In my room I have a pile of things (not rubbish, but bits) that I have just covered with a blanket! Just the sight of it makes me nervous, but I just can't get over the anxious feeling and start sorting it out. Everywhere else is clean and tidy, but that pile? Just something about it. sooo....Out of sight out of mind right?! I didn't know someone else felt like that!
