I love gar fishing and if your interested in targeting some of the longnose gar in the lake you can use the smallest j hook you have with a small piece of cut bait like bluegill or shad, set it up on a slip float rig and cast it in 10 - 15 feet of water and just wait and you should get a bite pretty quick. That would be a cool video too!

Im a little late so idk if you still fish the glides but the bites are the best on them and a little tip sometimes the fish dont bite on the fast reel so try the same thing but take a pause and i get bites at the boat more than you think and the gar is a perfect example.

I just found your channel, I’ve been looking for Christian bass fishing (basically any kind of sport fishing actually) content and I’m so glad I came across this video! I have to share a quick fishing story. My son who is 9 and I were out at a small pond having no luck. I said to him, “you prayed this morning, and I prayed this morning… but we didn’t pray together” so we laid hands on one another and prayed for Gods blessing over our time together.
