Fr i have a vivo v30 lite, and it runs better than my friends redmi 13, which apparently has better specs, its surprising really, vivo v30 lite has a snapdragon 4 gen 3 and the redmi has snapdragon 7 gen 2 ( i think i dont really know for sure cuz i aint doing research lol)

​@@f8omar745Vivo apparently have 2 v30 lite (which is confusing but then again, Poco and Xiaomi does this with their own lineup so I guess it is just the industry lol) which one has the SD 4 Gen 2 and the other is SD 695 5G. Both has almost on par performance so I guess it doesn't matter? It is not the case for Redmi 13. there is 2 variant which is 4G and 5G. Compared to Vivo V30 lite, 4G is almost 2.5x cheaper while the 5G one is $30-40 cheaper. V30 lite which has SD 4 Gen 2 is twice faster than the Redmi 13 4G which has G91 while the 5G variant has the same chipset (SD 4 Gen 2) If your friend has the 4G variant, I guess that explain why it is the case but if it is the 5G one, I dont think the performance would be that far apart. Even moreso with Redmi 13 with the HyperOS

100% I was torn between Honor, One plus 12, and Vivo x100. I think Honor and Vivo are a bit better than One Plus. I would have got Vivo but not much support for it in the UK plus I do like the more power and better screen & software on Honor. Just Vivo has the best camera in my opinion. I am how ever super happy with my Honor Magic 6 pro though.

The peak brightness is bs on all these Chinese phones now for example displaymate tested OnePlus 12 it's claimed peak brightness is 4500 nits but the actual peak they could get was 2675 nits still very bright but miles off these bs claims now that the Chinese screens are doing but phones with Samsung amoled tested by the same website actually get close to or exceed it's claimed peak so it's not that the testing is flawed but that these screens are claiming brightness which isnt achieved in the real world maybe on 1 pixel lit up white as a technicality to claim stupidly high brightness. They just keep putting higher numbers than the next Chinese brand to one up them in a specs war so they can never go back now to having legitimate specs on brightness

@@sbrader97 Even if they are bs, how much brightness consumers really need? The purpose of the number game is obvious, it's cost efficient to increase peak brightness than to increase color accuracy. Chinese phones have better and bigger batteries. Even if they do increase actual brightness the battery consumption wouldn't be much. The fact that they still went for 'peak brightness' shows how much they are willing to pretend in order to grab market. Well, no companies are saint. But Chinese companies are the worst.

I'm actually a switcher from a Samsung S24 Ultra. I got tempted by the cameras and eventually bought one to try. (Also the fact that Samsung hasn't been innovating lately. Re-releasing the same phone year on year w little changes)...cut to the end .....sold the s24 Ultra after 2 weeks with the Honor. This is my first non Samsung since the Note 10. Glad I made the switch!

The fact that camera bumps have become synonymous with the brand of smartphone you're using shows that smartphones have peaked. Whenever you watch a new phone reveal a decent chunk of the presentation goes to the camera. It's kinda annoying for someone such as myself who doesn't use the camera that often.

Not true. Before the Magic 6 Pro I had the Xiaomi 11T Pro for 2.5 years and always charged it with 120 watts. The battery on the Xiaomi still lasts over 1 day after 2.5 years. Maybe 5 - 6 hours less than when I first got it. Not a big deal. My Samsung S10 back then only charged with 15 watts and the battery only lasted for half a day after 1.5 years..
