I love hitting up local tackle shops! I always spend too much, but I love it. I fish those ring worm style baits the one you called a slug, with a 2/0 or 3/0 thin wire worm hook,texas rigged. Then you put a nail weight in the tail. Great for skipping docs or getting into cover, as it falls on slack line, it actually falls away from you with the weight in the back. Awesome summertime technique, when it's hot and the bites tuff. Something about that lure gliding back towards the fishes face just make em want to bite

SOS is the best tackle shop around. And those Buckeye buzzbaits are 💰. Those Nicols and terminator spinnerbaits are also about the best you’ll find for the money. The terminators have a thin wire which means more vibration and more bites but you have to baby them a little more.

That black pop x megabass popper is a black shore minnow. That was a very popular color in the 70s to late 90s on lures. Stull can be found on some heddon and other old school brands lures, mostly topwater lures.

Last comment I swear lol maybe. The strike king soft plastic is a fry yes its suppose to look like a water bound centipede like bug. Fries was a popular soft plastic before the stick bait was introduced and they catch fish. Oh and always rig them flat side down lol that gives it a wabble slower sink. Also you can wacky rig with a ewg hook on a Texas rig setup and still catch fish.
