Old school trick of not being scared of the rod bolts hitting the crank. Put some 1/4 or 3/8 fuel line over the bolts when sending the rod into place 😁 used to have fuel line in my special tool toolbox drawer mainly for that reason 😂

Hi Gavin and Jess, long time fan! Please look into permanent car sevice center style exhaust systems when idling the car for more than a minute like that. Just for a short amount of time like a minute to move in or out the exhaust fan is fine but any longer than that you should definitely have slip over exhaust Hoses with booster fans that vent outside. Even small amounts of carbon monoxide over time can cause adverse health affects and it can stay in your blood for over 24 hours and will build exponentially. Also, definitely a couple of good CO/explosive gas alarms in your work shop and garages! Stay safe and keep up the awesome video content!

Just a little advice take 2 pieces of rubber hose that fits over the rod bolts and that will help protect the crank when installing the rod and piston, I hope you found this tip useful
