@thesmokingtirepodcast I'm in the insurance business. Definitely have been seeing it a lot mostly since COVID where certain cars have difficulty getting parts. I mostly see it with Hondas, Fords, Kias/Hyundais, and Teslas where parts are on backorder almost indefinitely. From people not wanting to work, to fears of COVID breakouts in shops, to chip issues worldwide, things got really rough on repair processes. It's been getting better little by little I'd say over the last 6 months.

Aftermarket radios have been becoming more and more of a sore thumb in the design department over the past few years after actually having some OEM looking units not even a decade ago. I was 10 in 2014. I had just got into cars, JDM cars in particular, and I remember, I had watched literally every single video that featured a skyline or a supra or an rx7 on KZbin. And it wasn't even saying much because there really weren't any. I remember i was sooo pumped when matt made that video in NZ with that silver gtr. It was literally the only new video on a r34 gtr untill doug reviewed the bayside blue car. Now literally everyone either has one or atleast has a video on one.

e450 is such a dream car where I live that calling it a boring daily driver hurts my soul. I watch only a few car channels and one of them is HARRY'S. The man's life is the DREAM. Knowing Doug watches him is incredibly satisfactory because I've always been a geeky enthusiast too. There are a lot of interesting cars built in Portugal But mostly old stuff. There is this UMM, the Portaro (an Aro built in Port-ugal), the Sado (micro-car), and some more. The majority of cars in Portugal are small city-cars, e.g., Fiat 500, Peugeot 208, Renault Clio; station-wagons, e.g., Renault Megane Grandtour, BMW 3-Series, Audi A6; and crossovers, e.g., Renault Captur, Mercedes-Benz GLA, etc...

I work at a dealer and ordered two doors for a customer's Grand Cherokee L (the new one) in late December 2022. My current ETA is 2/27/23. No one has one, anywhere. Its not just the 'premium' brands having issues getting doors, it seems...

Doug. Right when the podcast was about to end. The C4 Corvette came up. And some special edition Camaro. That Camaro did have a Corvette engine. But, it wasn't the ZR-1 engine (LT5 375/405hp). The LT4 (330hp) that Doug mentioned originated from the C4 Grand Sport.
