Fun fact: A Siamese cat is a breed of cat. The colouring is called colourpoint and can happen in many breeds and moggies. The points are temperature sensitive so if you shave a spot it'll turn dark.

Ragdolls are one of the most expensive breeds of cat. I know because we found this ragdoll kitten(he was a drop-off), and we researched him. Unfortunately, the vets figured the entire litter was dropped since he died 2 months ago from FIP(basically Feline corona)

Wow it's so convenient that he was not only recording, but apparently didn't see "unlocked skeleton identity" which pops up when you kill a skeleton FOR THE FIRST TIME, on this apparently REALLY OLD Minecraft world, which just so happened to have the shapeshift mod on it. Edit: I also realized how his little brother didn't worry about his cat in Minecraft burning to death, and that he didn't notice it was a different cat.

The thing is that pet shelter that my friend works at says that the pets are expensive because of 3 things 1.they wanna check if the person buying the pet is actually commited to the well being of their respective pet. 2. The have to pay the breeders the equal share. 3.they have pay for the expenses of other pets at the shelter.

A few years ago, I found a kitten on the road and looked to be about at most 2 weeks old and she was about to get run over. I ran and grabbed her before anything could happen and she already had an injured leg. I took her in and gave her all the things she needed while she was growing better and stronger. She now lives with me and has all her shots and she knows how to fetch a straw and loves taking walks! God bless anyone to whom has the heart to take care of a little furball in need!

That's so cute. Cali is adorable! One of my sisters was the reason why we got one of our cats. She was a stray kitten and my brother and I found her in a ditch when we were going to school. My little brother took her out, gave her to me, and I ran home with her to give her to my parents since I didn't know what to do. My dad took her, sneaked into the room where my baby sister was and woke her up so she could see the kitten. She tried to push the kitten away, thinking it was one of our other cats. My dad told her that it wasn't so she opened her eyes, say a black kitten, and instantly said "shadow"! She took the kitten and cuddled against her. They both fell asleep peacefully together, surprising my parents. I think that if shadow wasn't a peaceful kitten back then and if my baby sister wasn't close to her, they never would have decided to keep her. I hope Cali has an amazing life with you guys!

I know everyone is talking about how nice it was to get a matching Siamese cat for his brother, and it is. But honestly my Minceraft builder instinct tells me I need to meet his brother. The shape of his base is much to be improved, but oak with a scattering of pumpkins? That is brilliant. I'm not even sure if it was intentional, I think he just picked up some pumpkins from his surroundings seeing as extreme hills are one of the places where they spawn, but still, I'm all for odd combinations and it's surprisingly pretty. 👁️👄👁️

This is super cool. And I’m glad your brother got this cat. I’m glad this cat got your brother. But just a reminder to everyone, you can adopt kittens from the shelter for between $40-$100. Every December our local shelter does a thing where you can get two cats for the adoption fee on one. We went and adopted a cat last year in December and decided not to get a second one for free since we didn’t know how our older cat would react to just one, but we hope to get another kitten soon. Usually most shelters in December do drastically reduced adoption costs and often sometimes free adoptions (though they do that less now due to too many people adopting for free then regretting it and the animals ending up stray or back in shelters). But you can also adopt free kittens from local listings. This keeps kittens out of shelters, just try not to support purposeful breeding.

although this is wholesome, you have a huge responsibility now. I suggest that (if you haven’t already) do research about the specific breed. I personally would have done the research before, but you already adopted them. not trying to send hate, but just suggestions :D heres some things about all cats: learn cat tail language (this tells you how your cat feels immediately) you can search up images of cat tail language charts and compare the tail your new cat has to the ones on the chart. don’t look your cat directly in the eye (if you stare them down, they will think it’s aggressive) if you want to look at how cute they are, I suggest to blink rapidly while making eye contact. you can also tell how your cat feels by looking at their pupils. the bigger they are, the more scared they are. the smaller, the more calm and relaxed. (edit: if they are playing or being playful, their pupils will also be large) please do not touch you cat’s tail or belly. (edit: some people say their cats don’t mind belly rubs. so I just suggest that you make sure the cat really trusts you before you try doing it :>) an example is if you have gained their trust, and they show you their belly, they are trusting you not to touch it. it’s their most vulnerable spot on their body. I have never owned a pet before (except for a fish but that was when I was 5) and have been doing cat research for years. to anyone who may or may not use this information, thank you for reading :D *edit: please read everyones replies and maybe ask them instead. im not exactly a professional lol also learned a lot from reading them, so thanks :D*

if a cat trusts you a lot they are actually okay with belly rubs, and if you just got a cat pat the base of its tail not the rest of its body until it's gotten used to you

@@egg7330 oh, well I didn’t know that about the cat’s tail. thanks :> but I actually had experience with touching a cat’s belly (my uncle’s cat) and I remember a pretty big scar on the hand I tried petting them on. that was the main reason I did cat research

Adopting a purebred is completely fine as long as it's not a BYB -- It's an ethical breeder from what I could tell. This isn't meant to be hateful or mean-- but the strict 'adopt don't shop' thing isn't the only option for getting a pet
