When I was in school my mother never did this. I would always get mad because other kids around my age were receiving gifts for their grades, my mother would always say “you don’t need gifts, it’s your responsibility to get an A.” now as an adult I can’t agree more with my mother, I’m grateful she taught me and my siblings well.
