You will definitely encounter a wide range of races on your local soccer team with the chance of a gay person in there too, however it wouldn't make sense if your soccer team met up on weekly soccer practice but instead of playing soccer you went to the Jim Crow Museum of Racist Imagery. That's what the difference feels like.

Who gets mad about minorities in games? Minorities have been in games for as long as we've had games. No. What people get mad about is when white characters get retconned for black or LGBTQ characters. DEI stuff is what triggers people, and rightfully so. And yes, politics should stay out of games. That goes for right or left politics. Just make fun games without messaging.

The worst part about this whole thing I think was people who went were given a spray and later where given a music pack. So many people complained saying they didn’t know they would get a music pack for going and would have gone if they knew, so Fortnite just gave it to everyone 😂😂😂

It was a simple educational experience, literally a virtual museum. It wasn't a live event, so no one was forced to attend by just playing the game. I don't see any harm done, minus emotes being active. Even then you could just queue privately 🤷

I remember joining with my main skin at the time, doing the activities and stuff, chilling because I wanted a spray. I was a big hotdog though and sat with Morty Smith, they didn't consider even for a second how skins could be wildly inappropriate for the situation, even unintentionally. Also I remember it took a hot second for them to do anything I don't remember it being very fast with the emotes and skins being disabled too.

I agree since Creative is 100% avoidable and not connected to the primary game modes like BR or STW. Epic Games does very little to prevent harassment, offensive usernames, or crude behavior from the players. Doing racist things to "protest" doesn't make you funny or a hero in this situation. Three things. 1. I know that content creation and video editing post-Covid era is difficult due to everyone’s attention spans being shorter, but ours is not that short to have a subtitles and images flying at us every 0.5 seconds. 2. Politics in media can be great as a form of storytelling, but a certain demographic- the one you mentioned that “don’t care about politics,” (as well as their lack of color), only know to dislike it due to any sort of minorities being included. It’s been a big issue since Covid ended, but I’m sure it was a problem back then too. 3. I remember seeing a screenshot of this game mode with Rick and Morty in it and couldn’t believe it was real.
