I feel you when you say im getting beat by guys covering 4 boards total. My house has a lot of low-speed, low rev people. Our house shot is 45' and pretty heavy. You have 2 options at my house. Throw your strongest ball with a ton of surface to stay out of the low speedblow rev traffic or play straight, but then you're in the low-speed low rev zone, and they throw really sanded stuff.

Hey Darren I’m a two hander (with no accomplishments) but anytime I’ve run into the split issue you were having tonight I usually move right and switch to urethane. It really helps me when I’m seeing that type of ball reaction you were getting. The ball just starts moving slower off the spot and I get way more miss room on those tight lanes where it’s hooking too awkward off the spot and splitting often. Seeing urethane slow down and smoothly glide into the pocket always helps me. I was hoping the whole time you were gonna try sending that 78u down once I was interested to see what it would look like on that left lane. I think it would’ve smoothened it out

Hey Darren, how do you keep yourself motivated when you're in a slump? I've hit a wall really badly while trying to teaching myself how to bowl better and more consistently. I don't have any coaches in the area so I'm just using KZbin as a guide and I'm regressing pretty hard. What keeps you going when everything just starts falling apart for a while? I know I'll figure it out, but there's times I don't feel like bowling 3 times a week bc I know I'm going to suck.

Love your videos but hate when you make negative comments about the people you’re bowling with (i.e. losing to guys who cover 4 boards total). They’re probably excited to be bowling against you and to watch the video and feel awful when they hear that. They’re also just league bowlers, not professionals. Man, this is why i love bowling so much !! Theres a few teams in my league that have bowlers with a similar dynamic and vibe. Win or lose, its so much fun bowling against a team with good bowlers, but they still cut up and have fun, dont take everything 100% seriously. I think we fixed the finger issue it was because my span was to far but I have wrist pain bad I am a automotive tech so I use my hands alot I moved from 15 to 14lbs and still pain do you think 2 handed would help?

Hi Darren, I enjoy your channel. I used to average @205 30+ years ago with early era urethane balls and resin (Blue Hammer Fab and Ebonite Turbo-X). I never learned what my PAP was because I don’t think that was a thing back then. Any way, I recently got back into bowling and after watching many of your league videos, I think my PAP is similar to your league mate, Lance. Funny, but I have a similar body build as him ( maybe a little lighter,LOL) but my approach and speed are almost exact to Lance’s game. Sorry for the long message. I purchased an IDOL Helios (ball was drilled to my old ball finger span with pin up but never knowing my PAP)and have started throwing more across lane than I’m accustomed to but want to get back in my comfort zone. I was interested in adding newer balls to my game (Nuclear Cell, Lightning Black out and A.I.) but don’t want to throw the balls and have to relearn how to throw balls. I intend on learning my PAP in the near future but would like to know what Lance’s layout is so my new balls will roll similar to his style /roll. V/R

@@jdizzlef83 Your ball roll looked good. With the wrap 10s, the ball was just a little late. I use 15 for plastic since I am playing more direct and 14 for urethane and reactive. Since the plastic isn't slowing down as much, it hits the pins about the same speed as the other balls.

I learned about over/under when I drilled my first reactive ball The Teal Rhino Pro in the early 1990s. If it hit dry boards, it would turn left. If it hit oil, it would go straight!

I liked Darren, but he was very whiny in this video. Bowling is about scoring no matter how you do it. Just because someone throws the ball straighter w/ lower revs doesnt mean they are a bad bowler. With the tech the way it is now a days its more about repeating your shots. I avg about 220 in league playing similar to lance, but I am also still using an old Track 706a w/ a sarge easter grip due to a ring finer injury. I am not the best bowler in the league, but my avg is up there right now just due to consistency.
