I really like this job. The balls to document a high degree of difficulty lawn with inflated expectations (wembley is 4 hours if you start now…😂😂😂😂). I am a converted fleece believer! Too bad I can’t get your products in the USA

Hey Dan i work with a lot of sands and aggregates, just be mindful when working /using dry sand of silicosis. Not saying you should do this and that like an health and safety advisor. just be aware of the silica content. I love watching your videos and would never forgive myself if you came on one day and said you cannot do them anymore due to breathing problems. You should be ok because your outdoors just making you aware if you did not already know.

It's not a tree it's a Sycamore, the worlds biggest weed. Even with a TPO he should be able to prune it. They are a nightmare with pollen and sap in the spring and leaves/seeds in the Autum/Winter.

You could have reseeded and covered with a mesh net of about 30-40%, which would have kept the birds off and let sun/rain through yet provide some stability against water falling on certain areas. Mesh is available in green too.

Dan what sand do most lawn guys use for lawns? Ive heard sport sand is the best because of the drainage. What about kiln dried sand?

What's the maximum depth can you fix with 70/30? I guess only small level differences. I may have a go with it next year but some areas are up to 5cm drop.

Is that 70/30 an unbranded bag from a local supplier (same as rootzone supplier?) as opposed to the bathgate brand you've used before? I got some bathgate from J Maher earlier in the year, cant recall the ££ though, was

This is from east riding horticulture via mansfield sand, its bone dry and kept inside, they will sell to you but you will have to pay the pallet price

I only seen your reply just now and it looks like I have watched it already :) Yeah you are spot on on there, they experts and them seeds were mixed for their purpose. The only reason I did what I did was that.. I just could not decide which one to get and thats why I got them both. I am now looking for the next project Barenbrugs e8 / shady one which seems very similar seed mixture or Masterlines pm50 / pm60. Which one would you recommend over? My lawn does not have such trees but has a shady area from the fence. It looked OK but it started to thin out. Thank you for your input Dan👍

I have a new build and been in it for 4years and the leatherjackets are a nightmare,loads of crane flys in the last couple of weeks and the grass is looking poor again nematodes are in the fridge ready to go but if there is a chemical I am really interested in getting some but not sure what to get . Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Good morning. Really interesting video. I have a 200m² rectangle of lawn and wanted to use sand to level it a bit better. What type of sand did you use there? How late in the season can you do this? Should I wait for next spring?
