Not huge rain but definitely not dry either. I might get a chance to mow low and get some fine compost over the lawn. I want to get on to any weeds coming up but I need a couple of days without rain or watering.

sycamore seedlings may not be a problem in the lawn, but if you have them in the lawn, you will almost certainly have them in your borders too - and they are a huge issue in borders. You have to pick them out one by one, or hoe the soil

I think it'll be playoffs for you. Same with my club Barnsley. We built some momentum up at some point for the automatic spots, but the squad just isn't strong enough for a title challenge yet. Dan, any advice on a heavily waterlogged lawn? My soil is clay-ey anyway so always struggles but this year has been especially bad with several bald spots etc. Would you recommend sanding/top dressing/re-seeding now or letting the soil dry out a little first? I don't want to leave it too late that's all and not have a lawn for the summer months.

I am a novice gardener and have only had a house with 2 lawns for 6 months. Yours seem to be the best ones and i did a rennovation last Autumn following some of your rennovation videos which used jacks magic compost which i used and it worked very well but im doing the front lawn now and you are using Compost no 4 i couldnt find the video where you changed and so was wondering if i should stop using Jacks and change? The Field no 4 has a minimum order of 5 bags and i still have 2 bags of Jakcks. Hence my question. Your reply seem to suggest a bit of ignorance on my part which i apologised for as i have obviously missed something you must have addressed in tbe last 2 years. Again Sorry for asking what may seem to be a stupid question. I was just looking for your advice. Hope that explains. its weight by weight so would think it was 20kg rather than weight by volume in field compost. Not sure but if you count on the time lapse you should be able to guage, but i think one bag did about 1/2 what field no4 would do so maybe 4 m2

@@carlsherwin5557 yeah the old groundsman killed it by accident few seasons ago didnt he as did swanseas, they were advised to put something on in your case because a pipe burst and flooded the pitch and this stuff was supposed to help aid water through the surface but only works if applied to the surface, your guy sprayed it on the water and it sat on the top and scorched the pitch, swansea used it with iron and then put the lights on with no water and they scorched it had to returf it mid season, they said it was disease but those in the know know what it was
