Do your own research always! I'm a normal guy who makes mistakes and has made plenty so far during this journey. So choosing to blindly copy what I'm doing isn't going to lead you to just making a ton of money. I've had investments where I've lost EVERYTHING. I don't just say do your own research as a legal covering but because you really need to do your own research and make your own call. If you don't understand what you're investing in you can lose A LOT of money! Especially in crypto which is super super risky. A lot of the projects I like to jump in are really small crypto projects which make them even more insane risky. Past performance doesn't mean the project will do the same thing in the future, no one can predict the future and what will happen next. I'm pretty passionate about this, I am by no means a professional investor. I'm on my journey to a million dollars, I don't even have the experience to have made a million dollars. All this is to share my journey because I believe there is value in watching me both succeed and fail. It's my story I'm sharing with all of you, DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH and don't just blindly copy me😄

I mean since I'm running it as an experiment for my channel I don't take any profits and just let it run. However if it was a pure investment right now to be honest I'd maybe have like 10% of my portfolio in it and just let it run through about midway into next bull market. Then probably close the whole thing out and go all in on the market. But depends on your experience level trading, if less experienced might make more since to at that point take your initial out of the bot and then slowly take profits until you think the bull had had it's full run.

Thanks! Keep in mind this is the Stoic Meta strategy, the normal Stoic strategy I haven't gotten great results from personally and like I said the Long so far hasn't done the best either.

Here is the thing right now. The entire markets are correlated heavily. The problem with long only is that it will do well and outperform when the markets are up and underperform when the markets are down. My advice is to not take blind risks. Take on risks but prepare for the risks. Blind risk is like going to a casino and throwing money down. Prepared risk is like planning to climb Mt. Everest before it became a wealthy Disney ride. Prepared risk is where you win and it is worth every penny to do.

Well that was at the point of recording. I've since recorded month 4 results and they're obviously a lot better given the markets move up. Current total: $11,299 which is about 3.25% a month on average over 4 months

I can see all the ongoing trades and the closed trades on the stoic meta.... so the bot did buy and sell orders.... therefore i believe the bot will do well during bear markets as well

Why doesn’t Cindicator branch out and use on chain protocols like DYDX or GMX directly? Why are they forcing everyone to use a CEX? It seems like a better approach to put it all on chain right?

I don't know, I've asked them the same thing. They're really smart when it comes to what they do but super uninformed regarding crypto from a technology standpoint. Had a hard time explaining the concept of on chain to them. I agree 100% though, if the risk curve was right would be a killer strategy.

It sounds like it might require them hiring a new CTO who does full stack development to get them there though. If their trading strategies are as promising as you say then I have to think they would make a killing on a major DEX, or perhaps switch to Coinbase since BlackRock seems to want to anoint them the new crypto king.

There price structure is interesting. Looks like it’s 5% of your balance yearly if investing over $10,000. So to get started with $50,000 let’s say, it would cost a $2500 upfront. Let’s say their strategy performs extremely well over the course of a year and you’re up to $100,000 - the fee for another year would be $5000. At that point I’d be fine with it because I’m up $40K profit but still quite a high start up cost for anyone with over $10,000.

I'd say it's a decent strategy for most people who maybe don't know what they're doing in crypto. If you have some decent experience though you'll likely outperform the bot yourself. Still the best strategy is one that allows you win over the long run. Too many people fomo in and lose their shirt. Gotta know your strengths.

Well it seems all the ai traiding hype is overvaluated, If you invested 2 months later in the first strategy you would be a little bit over your initial investment or even at breakeven. Depends on the risk curve really. Again trillions are invested in bonds even though it's a 2% annual yield or a 5% annual yield. That's because the risk curve is "supposed to be" super low. So if this proved to have a lower risk curve as they claim, then it's a great strategy. Really need some downward action to put it to the test.

@@jesseeckel2 well I have been creating my own trading bots in metatrader to trade Forex assets. Although they were far less complicated in code as the AI bots they performed similar way. In long term, 5 years back testing it was just money grinding rather than providing reliable roi. It seems it is better to be stuck with that 5 % profit on bonds. Anyway I wish there was a bot that can make 5% annually, persistently but what my experience shows the better you adjusted a bot to perform in current market conditions the worst it performed in future. The other fact is I don't believe there is someone who is going to sell you a working bot that outperforms market. The big big question is why someone would even think about doing that. Would you sell such a bot ?

Great Video Jesse. I don't think ETH is the best barometer for hold growth, it's being meme'd even by the ETH community that all the other alts have been on fire and eth's not seeing the same gains. Long term I think it is one of the best investments. Just a thought, great info though 🤓

I only used ETH because in my original experiment that was the asset I compared it against. As well as back around Nov last year I put most of my net worth into ETH after the FTX collapsed because I felt the market had bottomed. At the time there was no BTC ETF narrative and obviously in hindsight BTC would've been the better choice. Still it allowed me to get exposure to the market while most sat on the sidelines because I knew ETH was a stable asset. Making 90% on 100% of my money is a lot better than 200% on 10% of my money, is the general concept. Anyways it's a personal gauge for me is the point, but you're right that would be useful to include at least BTC as a gauge since it's the largest crypto asset.

I think because the opposite side of that decision would be in an ideal outcome opening the bot up, allowing as many retail investors in as possible an then having $500 million to $1 billion or more being managed and taking a cut via performance fees.

I can be wrong, but when a deal seems to benefit other more than the creator, either the deal was bad from the start or the creator doesn't believe in the product as much. Like the medallion fund of Jim Simons. He cracked the market and closed outside investment. Now that human behaviour, protecting his own edge of the market.

Tbh most bots will do well in a bull market when the market is a lot more predictable... you started it at the very bottom of the market pretty much. I guarantee in a bear market if eth is down 50% over a 10 month period then the bot will be down around 90%. I am talking from experience trying bots for years. Bots have a bias where they work better in either flat market, bull or bear market. Btw i am also an AI engineer and the AI part of it at best will try to guess which bias the chart is on, at worst it won't even try. AI will eventually take over trading more i agree but it will still try to guess and won't know future outcomes of news or blackswan events etc.

I suppose we'll find out! I plan on testing for the long haul. I'll 100% agree the true test is when prices drop. I'll also concede that this bot had the benefit of starting at an ideal time. However I'd say it's too soon to claim that the bot would be down worse than any given asset. It's possible, but just because you've used a bot before doesn't mean that bots results is an indicator of any other bots results. Not saying it'll do well, just saying I'm going to reserve judgement for how the bot actually performs when the time comes.

How does someone go in debt when the markets are up 200% this year? I mean it’s possible but it would require you doing some really stupid things which Jesse seems to understand risk tolerance enough that I doubt he would do that. Plus he said he was putting half his portfolio into ETH back when ETH was at like $1200. It’s now at $2,000. So unless he went crazy on leverage he should be doing fine.

Well if it was me having to choose between holding BTC or a bot like this and they produced basically similar results or even the bot did a little better I'd choose BTC all day long. What I'm saying is the real test is when the market does pullbacks. If the bot handles those better than BTC, then I think it's a compelling use case as it's at that point "safer" in terms of drawdown.
