it's kind of funny, Grubby looked down upon us warcraft3 custom gamer plebs and now he has become the thing he once scorned :P I think post competitive wc3 gamer days, he eventually played dota and league (which are based off a wc3 custom game) and now he's playing a reforged custom game (honestly no problem with it, custom games can be fun, and when Grubby was competitively playing wc3 they were fun then)

i remember this strategy. It was the hail mary strategy in hero wars. If you built a gold mine and DIDN'T get selected to play in the first duel, you basically won. If you spent your gold on a mine instead of resources and DID get into the duel, you were half crippled from the start. It was always a gamble.

Druids + any t1 ranged is OP. The roar burns enemy dispel and rejuv keeps them, front liners and heros alive. At t3 they are awesome front lines. Shaman for the ranged and talons/banshees for debuff

Awesome Grubby, love your usual stuff, especially FFA, but this custom game feels so fresh. Especially because you're not so OP due to your skill level like in the normal competitive games, so it's like you're just a regular dude playing these custom games except you have chat to give ideas and your natural smarts. Tornado looks awful in this. Pretty much saves your opposing units and then drops them onto your back line.

1:35 Little known fact: WC3 uses RNG for the speed of each autoattack that a unit does (or perhaps it is the speed at which damage is applied? It's been years since I learned this). They did it so that in situations such as that one, one unit will always kill the other. There's an option to disable it in the editor, but it's quite well hidden 😅

I'd imagine casters are always really good in this type of auto-battler because there is no way to target fire them, you -have- to fight front to back to get to them. Which is why games like Auto-Chess / Underlords have units with the 'Assassin' Type that jump to the back line. Grubby / Harstem / Soda Direct Strike Team when?? Fun fact, since your bathroom break seems to have sparked a discussion - Soap, does not primarily kill germs; it disrupts their ability to adhere to surfaces like your hands - causing them to drop off as you rinse. Now, it does disrupt the cellular membrane over time, but the friction and hot water from rubbing your hands together speeds this up. In fact, only rinsing with hot water + rubbing your hands together has a similar affect. Using soap just increases that affect.

Idk how much it is exactly like the strike from SC2 but usually you don't go more than one mine before destroying the bunker. In SC2 the middle is worth 2 goldmines for every player. The first mine takes 6 min to pay back it's cost, 2nd takes 7.5, 3rd 10 and lastly 4th takes 12.5. (Early mine puts you behind for a while and can snowball to be worse). It is usually better to delay the first 2 goldmines to gain middle which is worth the same but also for your teammates. Killing bunker gives you gold in SC2 which is usually enough to safely invest in ur first mine

That first game i'm just yelling at the monitor "GET A STATUE GRUBBY" I never even played DS before and even I know how good Obsidian Statue's healing is. His DH woulda tanked 5x as much with the pulses. One statue was healing half a riflemans HP per pulse lmao. It's such a waste not to get just ONE, you can get a few, for sure, but just 1 single statue woulda gave him a huge push.

As someone who has played direct strike (starcraft2) for years Dota2 and sc2 for a decade+ w3 for 2 decades next year : Did Direct strike started as a mod of w3 too? (as same as every tower defence, Dota/lol/mobas ) P.s. Grubby if you read this try Lordaeron Strike in SC2 arcade i feel it way funnier/fresh than direct strike(wc3)... you can even play with/agaisnt sc2 different difficulties IAs with 5 w3 races

I dont play the game, but people are not doing enough tempo control or if any...if your allies has potential to stack you should donate them gold to build more tanks especially MGs instead of spending gold on bad tanks
