LoL you were talking about Rhapsody and them adding "of fire". Originally Nanowar were called just Nanowar (based off of the more serious power metal band Manowar) and when Rhapsody became Rhapsody of fire, Nanowar sorta took the piss at them by renaming themselves to Nanowar of Steel.

Awesome reaction! Nanowar of Steel can really be a rabbit hole of very well composed music, greatly executed parodies of so many diverse music genres (you correctly got the Rammstein reference), really smart jokes and puns, and great quality music videos. They are from Rome and they mostly do this as a hobby, but boy, they're good. If you are interested in other of their songs (some of witch have great featured artists too) I can suggest: - Tooth Fairy - Ironmonger - Barbie Princess of the Twilight - Norwegian Raggeaton - Valhalleluja - Pasadena 1994 - Winterstom in the Night - Sober - La Polenta Taragnarock I strongly suggest to watch them with the subtitles on, as they sometimes sing in languages other than English (Italian, Spanish, German).

Fun list (though I've never liked Barbie myself)! Based on what you've reacted to here, I'd probably suggest holding off on Pasadena 1994 for a while - it has more impact if you are familiar with the guest singer.

Barbie was my introduction to the band. I honestly didn't realise at the time that they were an actual band; I thought it was just an elaborate silly video. But wow, one I started digging further... what a rabbit hole.

Italy's premier parody power metal band! I saw them live a week after seeing Sabaton and Babymetal, quite a contrast (particularly in terms of budget and venue size) but all three were very theatrical and entertaining. They were originally just NanowaR, but after Rhapsody had to add "of Fire" they decided to do something similar. I was chuckling during your intro, knowing what was coming. You mentioned Steel Panther - they did a song featuring Michael Starr called _Uranus,_ with pretty much the tone you would expect. Come Christmastime, please react to _Valhalleluja,_ which is one of my faves (a couple of others probably won't make sense to you yet).

Yea, these guys made a career of making fun of metal that takes itself too seriously. They literally got an album called "Dislike to False Metal", and once released a track called Disco Metal that's just straight-up Eurobeat and not metal at all, just to piss off purists.

People often dismiss parodies like this, but they are actually very difficult, and they can play. Their lyrics are also incredibly clever and often use puns across several languages. You will get a kick out of Norwegian Reggaeton.

Hello. Did I hear you like Rhapsody (before "of fire"ed) ? Then you absolutely MUST jump on "Barbie MILF princess of the twilight" from Nanowar (after they "of steel"ed) I looped "Emerald sword" when I was a teenager, and "Barbie..." brings back good memories of these days (plus a shitload of jokes). It is my favorite Nanowar song if you ignore the lyrics, just for the sound, and my 2nd fav after Valhalleluja overall
