Nice review, we bought one of these this year. Overall, we love it! My only gripe is the charging system isn’t great at keeping the hybrid battery at a reasonable and usable level on its own. You have to manually select a charging mode. I wish it worked more like a traditional hybrid in that way.

@sanpk15453 жыл бұрын
The T5 is a great choice. You can get most of the features of the more expensive models and all of the safety features ( which was a major selling point for me). I own a 2018 T5 and the vehicle size is just right for my usage. The third row is fine for kids and adults 5’5” or under. So if your target user base for the third row is mostly adults, then yes, there are better options. Also, the T5 might seem underpowered if you regularly have 5+ passengers. If you need a 5 seater, with 2 extra seats for occasional usage, the T5 is a really good blend of safety, practicality, comfort, and value.

Best deal with Volvo is to buy it with the overseas delivery option, you get it cheaper and a two week vacation included. They fly you and your partner out to Sweden in Business, pick you up at the airport, put you in a nice hotel for the night and give you dinner, the next day you get picked up and taken to the factory for your tour and suv pick up. After that they give you lunch and off you go to drive your suv for two weeks in Europe we got two more weeks of insurance added and had a great time, we went to eight countries, when we got done we returned it to the factory and they shipped it back for free to my local dealer in about a month. You will not be disappointed if you do this, there a no restrictions you an drive it even to Russia if you wanted too.

@@vc8160 I agree. Not sure why anyone would want a 740 now. Volvos keep improving IMO. @matthelms41673 жыл бұрын
We own several Volvo’s, an S60 and an XC40 with the T5 engines, and an XC60 with the T6 and Polestar tune. The T5’s are nice enough and perform well, but the T6 XC60 power train is very unrefined. I normally like mechanical noises, especially from inline 5’s, and 6 cylinder engines, but the T6 engine drones, hisses, vibrates, and is just unpleasant in operation. It is fast, but as a buddy of mine said, it can go fast, but it won’t like it. A 4 cylinder shouldn’t be pulling around 4,500+ pounds. I won’t own another one with this power train, and I’ll only continue getting Volvos if they continue with the stupid cheap lease deals with maintenance included because the product isn’t cutting it. I’ve had a lot of problems with my XC60, and may switch to a Lexus RX350 or Acura MDX. If Volvo would put at least a 5 cylinder in the heavier models - that would keep me in the family going forward.

I love Volvo and the XC90, but do automakers legitimately think it's safe to have basically everything controlled by the screen? You can't manipulate the screen without looking at what you're pressing, which means you are forced to take your eyes off the road. I much prefer having 100% physical buttons and dials, because I can remember where the controls are and what they feel like. That way, I can manipulate what I want through muscle memory alone, without having to look away from the road.
