I think the problem in a few games was that u would see the raptor n keep the hand instead of mulliganing to find the enchantment. It will draw u into the raptor but the raptor will just hinder ur ability to play blockers. I think this deck needs to mulligan more aggressively

Great video! Love to see the meme deck. Goblin bombardment as a backup plan seems strictly worse than impact tremors. Also, considering the trouble the deck had with Rhinos (and interaction in general), defence grid might be worth a sideboard slot. I understand it makes the combo less consistent, but at least you'll be more likely to assemble to combo.

Isnt impact tremors just better than goblin bombardment for this deck? Also, would scrap trawlers and another discount card (helm of awakening/aetherium sculptor) make the combo more consistent, since you could loop with myr retrievers or just add too many whiffs?

Would a fetch into dryad arbor help with comboing off? Edit: since comboing off with raptor means your 1mana artifact creatures are free, and the goblin bombardment kill most likely takes a few turns, might as well put in 1 mana artifact creatures such as signal pest, gingerbrute, stonecoil serpent and bomat courier as a rush beat plan seems worthwhile

I mean you're playing red, could run red draw Galvanic Relay + Marauding Raptor = T3 you can drop your hand of 1 cost's to search up to 5 cards that you can play next turn... Reckless impulse is also helpful since if you can cast reckless, you can cast your combo pieces. Hope of Ghirapur 1 cost enabler and can secure the combo

I think Hope of Ghirapur is way undervalued in this deck. You don't win in the combat step, so if you stick it either it does it's best Spellskite impression, or it's a Silence that isn't a blank while popping off.

I think I would cut a Myr Retriever and Research Desk for two copies of Bomat Courier. I also don't hate going down a copy or two of Mystic Forge and looking at Pact of Negation. Pact protects your win-attempt, especially against control decks (here's looking at you Force). Maybe cutting a Myr Retriever, Research Desk, and a Mystic Forge for three copies of Pact? Overall I think this has been one of your better brews from the set. It actually feels like a non-jank middling tier-2 deck; it's just missing that overbearingly powerful modern horizons card. Actually this deck might be insane in a pre-modern league. Might be worth looking at.

Yeah, I'm all in on this combo. -2 Goblin Bombardment -1 Myr Retriever -1 Mystic Forge -1 Mishra's Research Desk +4 Thoughtcast +1 Pact of Negation OR +3 Gingerbrute +1 Shadowspear +1 Pact of Negation Also I think you could have played slightly safer by making sure you play your springleaf drums prior to your '0' drops. In response to the damage trigger, use the creature that's about to die and float some mana to play around spell pierce and no more lies.

This is unrelated to the video but I built Vampires in Modern and have went 22-10 in games, 13-4 in matches. Only practice though I have beaten tier decks. Gonna test it in a league this weekend.

If you arent willing to drop ornithopters or memnites until you have the combo, then why wouldn't you just play 2 drop artifacts or 1 drops that can be effective cards until you hit the combo. unless they exist just to solely power up karnstructs. which could be good but having a whiff card until i hit a key land doesnt seem good over running solid utility creatures imo

Hi Seth. NoobTube here. Given that it has already been a day since release of this video, I don't know if you will see this, but I will post it anyways. I recently created a new deck that I am trying out in Timeless MTGA. I think you would really enjoy this deck. It has ponza, but it also uses a Grinning Ingus + Birgi combo as a wincon. I find it really fun to play and it wrecks a good portion of the meta, especially Zoo and strangely (because most lists run 2-4 basics), Titan Field. It struggles against Mono-Black and Burn, but you can pull through against Burn. Decklist below. Your goblin bombardment backup plan was never even considered during any of the matchups. And I think that's because it's simply not viable, at least not in Modern. Probably better to just replace those with something that can help you find your combo pieces. Because bombardment is just as likely to fizzle the combo as something that can actually help you otherwise.
