That T cab is an absolute beauty! Blue with the black headlight units and all the chrome! 🤤 Glad you liked the DAF! I used to drive the same model, but then the SpaceCab and a 440 engine. No rough shifting on mine though 🤔 It was a real pleasure to work with!

I have a daf xf 480 it was off the road for three years because of a minor accident is no rough shifting but it’s very comfortable and I use it every day for work and the bed is so comfy the daf xf is spot on even mine runs like a 530 😀🇬🇧

Just came across your channel for the first time today mate. I'm liking your stuff and you're absolutely bonkers! 🤣 unlike some other truck vloggers (won't mention names) that take themselves too seriously. The T cab would be suitable for the work you did in this video, collecting and delivering trailers. It wouldn't be suitable for general delivery work as you might struggle in some yards with the long bonnet. Also as it would be an investment, you would be keeping the mileage down for when you sell it on. So why not...? Have fun!👍🏻

Drove DAF for many years good trucks. It was the only truck I could get really comfy in, the driver seat is brill. Another good vlog as always and in my honest opinion (one driver to another) the T cab is very good looking but would be better in right hand drive just my opinion.

I love how excited you are over the active cruise control. Wait until you sample a new MP5 actros with the PPC. Slows down and speeds up for corners and roundabouts, that and the lack of mirrors it has. I like the Actros but prefer the Scania but would be nice to integrate some of the Mercedes tech into the Scania truck

I used to go into DataShredders with Pallet Network. I was based out of Wisbech, and i live just around the corner from Chatteris (in a place called Dodington). Drove for a few companies around that area (Warnes at Kings Lynn, Lynn Star at Kings Lynn, Knowles Transport, Ceva in Wisbech), the best job i had was driving for AB Texel, doing continental stuff, just personal reasons (family) made me leave that job. We have about 14 DAF XF 106 530 SSCs like you were driving, a few older 106 510 SSCs, a couple of DAF LFs from 2006-2017 & 2 XG+ 530s. Also got a load of scanias ranging from R450 to 770S V8 and a couple of Volvo FHs and about 10 Mercedes Actros’.

I'm not a lorry snob, I like Scania, Volvo's and DAF 's I do like the 106xf but my favourite lorry was the FH16 750. I used to load a bloke that come from Italy. Ay the time they wasn't really used in England, only on heavy haulage. 👍 Any way, great video tim.

It's definitely a 4 series with a rebuild nose to make it look like a R series. If done properly, no issues, but when not done properly you're gonna see cracks in the paintwork around the R serie panel they welded in the 4 serie nose. I had one just like that, and we had to repaint the nose every year. Like you say in the video, they changed all 4 serie parts for Rserie parts. But an original R serie nose doesn't fit on a 4 serie, that is why the weld in the R serie panel from a front steer, which can give you a lot of problems.

id say the DAF XF and SCANIA are equal but dafs are comfier and scanias are powerfull and fast so i hope one day scania and daf will team up and combine the two makes

Daf xf is a nicer cab in my opinion. But the gearbox has nothing on Volvo and scania. The new scania cabs are miles better thou, I haven’t seen the new dafs yet.

Those auto boxes on the dafs let them down because they are rubbish, The cabs are lovely though especially to have any length of stay in them, also the matress ont he beds are probably the best out there

I actually know that T-Cab. It has been build bij Vlastuin in The Netherlands, they allways do a Proper Job on building T-Cabs, not only for Scania, but they also build a Daf T-Cab and a Volvo one!

Yes I can remember Bulmer's Scania T144s that worked with IBC 30' boxes, the last to use this once maximum permitted length. Eddie Stobart had a Scania T124 S777 ESL and it couldn't pull their 40' box trailers...

Personally, i LOVE DAF's, i had a 58 plate LHD, 350bhp on an 18t chassis, and it FLEW !!!! the cabs are really nice, and the ZF gearbox was really smooth, much nicer than the MAN box, but not as good as the Volvo FMX box

Hi Tim, I don't know how much money you already spent on the 4 series but if I would be in your position I would buy the T series and use the parts from the 4 series to convert the T series to a right hand drive. Then I would sell everything that is left from the 4 series and I would use the T series for show truck. Keep up the good work.
