Reminds me of a family car trip with my chronically colourblind dad driving. Stuck in a motorway traffic jam, he thought he'd lighten the mood when he let out: look' there's a another car the same as ours! We looked and looked but couldn't see it. We were in a pastel green Mk4 Ford Cortina. The car he saw was a pale red Honda.

One time I took a (roadside company) call and I was looking for a 1974 Mercury-Lincoln waaaaaaaay out in the sticks that had called for a flat tire and winch out. I'm thinking to myself why and how would a Mercury be way off the road... I spotted a Pantera stopped on the side of the road like if they ran out of fuel. Knowing damn well my call-takers got "the dumbs", I pulled over and asked the driver his name and if he called (a roadside company) for help. Yup, wrong car, wrong color, wrong t-code, and wrong location. I told the customer how all my info was wrong and the wife asked why I stopped with them. I said my ears are to the streets, I know these things. 😂 Plus I know Panteras were sold at Mercury and Lincoln dealerships and probably somehow that was put into the details. They just needed fuel. Pay call takers peanuts and you get peanuts-worth work. No offense to Jamie. I'm referring strictly to some out in Ogden that will remain nameless. 😁

Among the things that we appreciate are that they're darn near real time, they're clean, and they show life in its normalcy (well, as much as you can). I'm disabled and my lovely bride Julie is a nurse and works her tail off (really, she has none) so that I can have as much of life as I can. When we were dating we went to Pigeon Forge so I'm thinking of you and where you're at wishing we were there. We've got vacation next week that will spend on our boat at Pickstown, South Dakota for a few days and then down to Pioneer Village at Minden, Nebraska. My project to complete before we go is for our Veterans Memorial where I'm placing the footings for two bronze sculptures. I bought a welder from Harbor Freight and this is my first stab at it. I've gained a lot from watching your fabrication. Thank you. Hope to see some time and do the weather 😀.

It’s amazing how capable even a nearly stock Cherokee is. They don’t build them like that any more. Modern “off-road” vehicles seem to just be sedans with a factory lift kit.
@NBSV12 жыл бұрын
Reasonably light weight, lockers/welded diff, a proper transfer case, and a bit of sense. Usually the modern stuff has open diffs or a weak limited slip, sometimes a weird torque split thing over a big transfer case, and drivers that think it’s way more capable than it is. And, most people seem to go for a lift kit, big wheels/tires, and stuff to look cool before they bother with stuff that would actually help offroad.

It even comes stock with 37s. It's not the end all, be all off roader like some people think, but it is an engineering marvel even 50+ years later.

Jamie is a really good & gutsy off-road driver! The Subaru was really stuck or the sand was traction-less. It was crazy how many pulls were required.

Great job Jamie, you made that look easy. Matt is like most guys... if it wasn't for the last minute, we wouldn't get any thing done. God Bless you all and have a great day.

@@Dave.T. a fistula where it doesn't belong(like all of 'em). Went undiagnosed for 10 yrs and now looks like a couple of uncomfortable surgeries. Thanks for being concerned and thanks for what you did for so many when they needed it!

Definitely ignore anyone giving you crap. Keep up the great work. Some [smallish] part(s) of needing to find your customers are the great vistas as you look for them.

Matt has some smooth pipes. He should do a full song. I’ve seen him pull a few dance moves too.

Matt is such an eager and enthusiastic teacher, sharing everything he knows, openly and without condition - "Come 'ere, lemme show ya how to do this." Running up the whole way up the slickrock face to spot for Jamie, for instance. He's a master delegator and everyone around him is better for it. Teaching Lizzy to become a proficient weldor will open doors for the rest of her life. 👍 "Knowledge is useless unless it's shared." His carefree, childish take on life is refreshing and funny. (we're basically children, so Jamie is stopping for gas, unlike myself. ROFL) That personality really shone in this video. 😂
