Thank you for buying him a normal car. I watched this with my son who is Evans age. When he told me Evan got a car for his B-day I thought to myself please let it not be a Tesla. Because, I knew my son would want something similar to what Evan got. Now I can rest easy, because my son sees teens don't get overly expensive cars to start out with. So he is asking for a middle size truck now. Which works for me and my budget.

Definitely! I didn’t buy a new car until I was 36. And it was a Toyota Prius. But it felt good to work hard and upgrade each time. We made it a point to not go crazy on the 1st car. It had to be safe and reliable. This one was in decent shape considering it’s age. And the fact we can save on fuel was a bonus. 😁 Just like Evan, I’m sure your son will be thrilled with anything that will take him from point A to point B.
