Ash may just be allergic to cat dander. When I first got my cat, my eyes turned red and swelled up. After I brushed him really well and gave him a bath, I was fine. I put my face in his fur all the time now and nothing happens anymore lol

Royal Canine is a decent brand. Here in America it is a pretty high end food. I believe they make allergy safe foods too. Awww! What a good name! And she's so adorably fluffy too! She and Douglas are so ADORABLE together! lol. I love Douglas' face when he gets the scritches. lol

The scratching post might be a little rough on her paws. For my cat we get a butter knife and scrap a cross it to soften it a little. After that he uses it everyday

We do have pellets here in the US now. Supposed to be healthier for the car so they don’t breathe in the dust. It does stink though if you aren’t cleaning it. Congrats on your new cat! I miss mine so much 😪

Whoa you chose her so well! She is adorable and so cuddly. I'm glad you finally found a cat for you. And good job getting a rescue! You're amazing! As for the allergies, can I say something? I personally "cook" for my cats. Turns out a lot of modern conditions pets get are from the kibbles and processed food. Especially getting older the biggest death cause is kidney failure which is directly linked to the diet but vets never talk about it. Skins conditions too. Cats are natural carnivors, they need fresh meat. So I get raw meat and bones and organs at a butcher and ask him to grind it (or you can own your own grinder). Then I make raw balls and add a few vitamins and taurine and stuff (very important to look online for recipes and what cats need before. Taurine is super important but you can get powder easily. Taurine is already an artificial one in the kibbles you get in supermarkets. So why not get your own?). Then I freeze it all to last a few weeks. Cats like their meat extra fresh. If you feed a raw healthy diet to your cat the results are often so rewarding in the long run. She will be much healthier and you will also save a lot of money at the vet in the long run. For lazy people you can also find companies now that deliver frozen cat food, much healthier than industrial pet food. ANYWAY. Sorry for the long comment. I'm really into pets' health. Like, REALLY.

She's so cute! For the scratcher, some cats like to scratch up vertically and others like to scratch down horizontally . Maybe try one of the flat ones and see if she likes it? They have cute ones in bed shapes so she can lounge on it too! ^_^

i use pine litter bc its not as dusty as regular sandy litter but you would need like a specific liter box for the pine litter. once the cat pees on the pine litter itll turn into crumble which you could just sieve out the bottom. i think its easier and less messy
