My mother has dementia and is in a care home. Recently the caregivers brought her one of these cats ( a ginger tabby) and I often find my mom gently stroking her and sometimes talking to her the way she used to with her own cat at home. She has been away from home now for about 6 months and really misses her cat. I think she knows this cat isn't real, but it is clearly a great comfort to her.

Omg im so glad I'm subscribed so I could see this because I'm going to search for one and I really want a cat but as I have quite a big dog, they wouldn't play well together as my dog is very playful and doesn't realise he might be hurting another animal:( this is now a good opportunity to find myself one! Oh I had a soft robot cat as a younger kid!! Also one the looked the same but wasn't robotic(they weren't even the same brand!) I'm happy for you, I hope it helps you in the ways it could. Bless you 😊😊🙏

Looks like a fur real pet toy. I have a tiger and when I touch it and my real cat named “Tiger” sees it moving and making noise he comes running to investigate! And you’re never too old if it brings you comfort and joy!….i am 60 years old (in July)!😂
