I tried micro-needling for the first time because of my dark spots but it made it worse. It was so concerning and frustrating. So after a month, I got a chemical peel done and the pigments are still there but I like it much better than the micro needling. I dont think micro needling is for everyone. Hi, by dark spots do you mean sun spots? Or do you have post acne spots? I have post acne spots so their pinkish spots and so I have been thinking of doing micro needling to get red of them at a clinic. However I heard that for people with darker skin color (aka me since I’m tan and Latina) it can make the spots worse. Could you let me know your thoughts on this please?
@soojenhan722 жыл бұрын
@@jenniferjimenez1286 I had post acne spots and they are not pink on my skin tone but more like brown. If you know and you are prone to hyperpigmentation- like for example, I knew I am because even with a mosquito bite, I get a dark spot that lasts years. Most people get a scar or a dark spot but usually they fade in weeks. Mine lasts months to years. So the bottom line is, every one's skin is different but if you know that you get hyperpigmentation easily and they usually don't go away easily, then you should re think about getting a micro needling. Mine was worse as in the pigments got darker and more noticeable after the treatment. So after a month, I got a chemical peel done to peel off the top layer which in hope will lighten the dark spots. It did help out a little but like what Susan said our skin is in layers and so I will need to get multiple treatments for big results. I am planning on getting another peel in a month or two. I also met with the dermatologist and got RX hydroquinone 4%, and it is helping the pigments get lighter. It is really helping. I love this cream. But also, you need to research before applying anything to your own skin because what works for me might not work for you.

Hi master esthetician here. The invocation of the body's healing response which does produce collagen and elastin in the skin. Also, with TCA, it can be inflammatory and Katia was right to take it easy with melasma. And also, if u have any underlying pigmented anamolies, they will darken as the outer-most layer of the skin starts to thin and the pigment start to rise to the surface. It's a multi-treatment peel.

Peels are NOT GOOD FOR MELASMA. not at all. I had treatment after treatment. The "it's rising from under skin" is false. It's CAUSING MORE.

@@jedurick depending on the use of sunscreen, the regulation of inflammation, protective clothing, and tyrosinase inhibitors.
