That turbo Ferrari is awesome. But a LS3 is not 5.3L it’s 6.2. The 5.3 is a Vortec engine.

@@daviddennett2645 the LS4 is for fwd configuration, meaning that the block is physically different from any other LS. 5.3 truck motors were available in Iron block and all aluminum like the LS engines but there is a SIGNIFICANT difference between the 5.3 and 6.2 (ls3) What's really gonna bake your noodle is that there are 6.2 liter (LS platform) iron blocks as well.

There's a few flat plane crank conversions for LS motors available, they're a fair bit of money though. Probably something you'd only entertain if doing a full on balls out rebuild. On a stock motor you wouldn't gain any power, all it would do is change the exhaust note. That's a WHOLE lot of money and time to spend just for a sound. I believe the engine in the C8 Corvette has a flat plane crank? Maybe in a few years when they're more common that might be a cheaper option.

I love the idea of a turbo LS swapped Ferrari…that’s an upgrade IMHO…would love to see more on that car and the build/costs associated with it. Oh and does your Step Mom offer Roadside services? Get a torque adapter. Proto sells them so does snap on. Should be able to torque the head with one easily. Also the alfa 164 24v shares the timing tensioner for one side and they are fairly reliable.

Good find on a 2k tranny and free engine. If nothing else, I have learned that I no longer want a 360. F430 and up for me. Ironically, I know a guy that had a 360 Spyder in Rosso Corsa with 588 legit miles on it, for sale at his dealership. Beautiful car but too many problems down the road.

Use a torque calculator online. The length of the wrench is use for the Radius variable and use a hanging weight scale to pull on the end for your force.

I wouldn't be ashamed in the least as you still have the aesthetics of a Italian supercar with the reliability of an American iconic power plant. This will be a challenge for Sam though since it likes to bring the dead back to life...lol. BTW, I love the dude's comment: "doesn't overheat or anything, you can drive it down the highway". More or less that's what Ferrari sometimes fails at at some point a bit too often according to the things you often read (T/F? I don't really know).

It's beautiful to see those spiders being put to good use. Yes they have more problems then solutions but I think alot of that had to do with the fact that everyone just kinda gave up on the car considering how often she breaks down or catches fire. From my experience with Ferrari engines, you want 90% of all your focus to be on keeping her cool as possible, getting aftermarket oil/engine coolers if you can, re-tuck all your wiring on center and sides only and find or make diffusers that will help direct air to extremely hot areas of the engine bay. It wouldn't hurt if you used a 5% tint on your rear engine cover as this will reduce the UV heat applied to that area (big difference in temp on hot days). Oh and don't forget to thermal wrap your exhaust manifolds as well. I say this assuming you want to keep the car or to make it a daily driver! Hope this helps you and any future 360 owners. -TheB4G3L P.s- Hats off to the guy mentioning he used boxster spacers, believe it or not that car is quite universal when it comes to refabs and Frankenstein kit cars.
