It’s so cool to see your +R/ natural journey beginning! just some small things to look out for is mixing both negative and positive reinforcement in the early stages of training. this can cause quite a bit of confusion and sometimes can be dangerous. Once the horse is established in +R it’s really great to mix the two but at the beginning I would seperate the two training sessions rather than swapping between clicker and pressure and release in the same session :) just bringing it up as you said you were new to this and it’s important we have that support early on, there are plenty of awesome people on Instagram to follow that teach cool things !

When I saw this video I immediately clicked, seriously though you were doing a parody or something. Did not realize it was real unti I watched it 🤣. I just wanted to say I am so happy for you. I find it funny to because I just recently got an 3 year old Ottb mare that was under saddle for 6 months after the race track. Working to turn her into a hunter/jumper. My forever horse for sure! I am also turning her bitless with a side pull and found myself getting on her bareback the other day, possible death yes, but I survived! I am so excited to watch your journey together and maybe I will get some ideas from you.

Highly recommend Two Horse Tack bitless bridles! They have biothane and leather options, and they’re customizable! I got one for my warmblood and he seems to like it. They have hackamores and side pulls

The Micklem Combo bridle is AMAZING for bitless and of course, has a bit option too. I love it! If you'd want a bitless western-ish bridle I have one I was sent from Milestone Equestrian and would totally give it to you, just pay shipping. I have never used it lol

JUSTINE HES STUNNINGGGG he legit looks like my quarter pony cross but humongousus=suisu. I love that you'll have fun and ride him bitless too, I'm starting riding my pony bitless and hes a whole new spunky boi (good way). I really recommend the nalanta bitless bridle it's pricy like 150 dollars or something but not too pricey but so worth it. It was made w chiros and vets and a horsemanship dude. WE

That's awesome! Liberty is a great start. If you plan to ride him too, you can start teaching him how to respond to leg pressure and rein cues while on the ground. That's what I've been doing with Cupid, I'll have an example in my next video I post tomorrow!
