I came here to say the same thing. With much respect, please slow tf down on the "rules" stories.

I think those of us that regularly listen to creepypastas are burnt out on them, but there’s a new bunch of viewers coming in that love them. Creators can see a lot about trends, so I’m sure there’s a reason. I’ve noticed a lot of channels doing them, so I just skip over those videos
@M_AlexanderКүн бұрын
Yeah, I don't mind the _premise_ of rules stories but not a lot of them are told well. I don't feel like it works when someone is given a literal numbered list and then events play out exactly as written

Same exact sentiment from me, just got done typing a comment regarding it. I hadn’t clicked a Lighthouse video so fast in so long lmao

The thing is…. He DID! He packed extra batteries AND a second flashligh. So wtf🤣😱😂. I kept wondering why he didn’t switch to his other flashlight 🔦. It’s a hard rule btw, that you should never enter any cave with less than two flashlights and a head lamp on your helmet. Now if the Author had mentioned that he dropped his backpack in his haste and terror to get away silently….then that would’ve taken care of the flashlight loophole. Editors folks - this what they’re for, not letting this stuff slide.

Yay! I graduated highschool with help from Spelunking. I didn't try very hard or not at all with homework but I tested very well and liked literature. I had to make up my credits with 3 years of summer school, a semester of night school to take advantage of an extra credit for work study program as I had a job, and one correspondence course. I needed one credit. Anything I found in the course selection. Spelunking. Cave exploration. I graduated highschool with one last credit from an online course in Spelunking. True story.

Good stuff. Better than usual, even. And, I've seen a couple others in the comments say this already, but I'm quite happy there wasn't a single darn rule in the whole story. Breath of fresh air, that. Not that I dislike all of the rules based stories, mind you, but good grief there have been far too many of them as of late. Everywhere, just to be clear. Not just this channel. But yeah. A good change of pace, in my humble opinion.

These dumb protagonists really don't take ten seconds to think about how not to sound crazy to law enforcement. "I ran into some drugged-up couple in that cave. They were yelling threats at me, stank like weed and spoiled meat, and they even had kids. Had what looked like coffins in there too so God knows what they're doing." (You throw the drugs in there so they think they'll get an easy bust, because the child welfare stuff sadly isn't likely to get them moving.)

Not to stir a frenzy, but in my opinion and it's simply an opinion is what sets Lighthouse apart from other narrative creators on this platform. I love the stories with rules when they're done by him, you, lighthouse. You're emotional storytelling and the descriptive suspense building.... It's perfection. Yes, it's nice to have variety but honestly... Lighthouse and the rule stories .... No one can do it like you. Bringing light to the fundamentals of why keepers of the supernatural world exist... How to survive and remain sane in the insanity beyond comprehension. Blessings be onto you, Light. Cheers. Sage of Sacred Light Ps. I would love to collaborate on a story sometime. Just because you 'can' doesn't mean you 'should', but just because you 'can't doesn't mean you shouldn't.- Moonphyre

Great story. I had a “friend” experience something similar many years ago. Since “he”was smart enough to know that he would never be believed and couldn’t in good conscience just do nothing, “he” was also smart enough to know that fire cleanses all. Luckily for “him”, setting up a Lair in an abandoned Tobacco warehouse isn’t a very smart move and made for ending this particular threat a quick and relatively easy task to complete.

The use of quotes in this fashion usually denotes sarcasm or irony. So are you saying this person is not a friend and not male?
@pinkbuninja6536Күн бұрын
This author does NOT know how light works, dear lord. In the pitch blackness of a cave, no light will be “faint,” it’ll be very noticeable, and no flashlight will be all that weak in the first place. And as the sun set, the beam of light didn’t move, it SHRANK??? What kind of physics are happening here? Other than that, and the fact the cave system seemed wide enough to walk around in without needing to crawl through narrow gaps at any point, which, sure I guess, other than that, it was a neat story. More than the story itself, the way you read it was very engaging, good job!
