I got a kitten vlog - new kitten haul

Hey, I'm Tamara... it's so nice to meet you & thank you so much for watching!
I've been wanting to get a kitten for sooo long, and now that I have a little extra time on my hands in quarantine, I decided it's finally time!
I loved watching "bringing home my new kitten" or just generally "new kitten" vlogs and imagine how crazy fun the whole experience is, and also it really helped me prepare for my kitten. I know a little more about what to buy and what to expect. So I really wanted to vlog this whole experience for other people to benefit from and also as a cute little memory vlog of baby Stormy to look back on, hope you enjoy!

do not need to bathe cats regularly, only when it’s really really needed (if the cat cannot clean himself). and make sure to play with him as much as you can before baths to drain out his energy and make him more relaxed and less hyperactive !!

Not necessary to bath kitty very stressful and they don’t like water. They usually clean themselves good. He is so adorable. ❤

Love this video he’s so cute and tiny he reminds me of my black kitten Anna she was smaller than him I bottle feed her and her brother from when they were 3 weeks old as there mam died I gave her two brothers away when they were 8 weeks and I was keeping Anna a week later she started walking funny and I told my mam and she was said we’ll watch her over the next few days this was on Sunday then she was getting worse so we brought her to the vets on Wednesday and she had meningitis I didn’t know what it was at the time so I thought she’d be fine the vets said they put her on a drip and keep her in my mam called the next morning and they said she was looking a little better and ate a bit as she hadn’t really eaten much t he past few days but later that evening she had a seizure and passed I was so excited to come home from school that day as I got her new toys and taught she would be able to come home but when I got home my mam told me she had passed I was heartbroken I didn’t leave my room didn’t eat or anything on Friday I went for a walk and I heard a meow from the ditch I listened for a bit and realised it was a kitten I called her for a while and she finally came out she was black and double the size of Anna I named her adela I brought her to the vets and she healthy my vets think s he was dumped the day before I found her as she was very clean and not skinny my vet thinks she around 3 months old I love her so much but I miss Anna so much she’s helped me so much as when she sees me crying she will come and give me a cuddle 🥰 I’ve been looking for a good kitten food for her what brand is your wet food as I couldn’t tell from the video thanks rip Anna 26/9/21-2/12/21💔😭

get a collar that breaks, if the kitten gets caught on something from jumping up high, it's designed to break instead of choke and kill the kitten, unfortunately the collar you have is for puppies and small dogs.

Cats do not like water, unless he has fleas, or rolled in dirt, you don’t need to bath him. Ask the Vet what food to feed him. Usually kitten formula, some soft food and a little bit of dry food. My cat had Hills Science Diet.

Yeah no that’s really not a good idea, it’s not going to make any of the cats happy since their energy levels and needs are so different (I’ve done this and our elderly cat got very unhappy)

I don’t recommend getting a cat collar with a bell, it’s right next to their head so the noise will be annoying.

It really depends on each cat, but cats are creatures of habit, so if you always go to work they’ll get used to it, but if you work from home all the time, they’re likely to develop some separation anxiety... but I’d say go for it and don’t worry, the cat will adjust

Cats like to sleep high up - if you had put his pet bed somewhere elevated then he would have used it but that's why cat scratching trees exist.

i would switch the bowls for ceramic og glass beacuse they have sentive whiskers and plastic is not good for the wishkers i learn this from a cat behaviorist but your cat is super cute

British shorthair, I needed to wash him because he smelled like smoke (his previous owners were heavy smokers) and he was super dirty cause the previous owners just weren't the most hygnic

Cats will become who you raise them to be, so if you are strict about no cats on the couch by let's say often spraying the cat with water everytime it gets on the couch, it'll learn that it can't be on the couch. But generally, no, my cat never scratched anything

I couldn't find any kittens to adopt in my city, only adult cats, and my mom was super scared of getting an adult cat so she demanded a baby that grows up here and she slowly gets used to rather than a big cat. I would've loved to adopt tho, just wasn't possible for my situation

That's rude. We looked for an adult or kitten to adopt. We had to rule out an adult cat as all the rescue places said no kids. All the rescues had needs such as FIV, medical issues or were super sensitive so needed a quiet home etc. No kittens came up for ages so we got one privately
