@@tamfis2446 This is not a bad thing. In Greece all shelters are full, all volunteers's homes are full of strays looking for their forever homes. I'm so glad her second kitty is from Greece. It's a really difficult situation here and thank God many people from other parts of Europe adopt cats and dogs from Greece. We are so overwhelmed and unfortunately our government does not help much with neuterings. But the worst part is in my opinion that people still buy animals when they are young ad of they grow up they leave them on the streets so that's why we have so so many strays here that us volunteers alone are not enough to neuter, vaccinate and find homes to (and of course all with our own money-the government recently started giving some funds to municipalities to neuter dogs and some cats)

Water fountains are fantastic for kitties. I have 6 rescues. Also cats instinctually associate still water with bad water. Running water symbolizes fresh clean water to them. So a fountain is ideal. :)

Bored - Technically you’re ‘buying’ if it’s from a breeder. Adopting is through shelters and animal rescues. Adopting is good because it gives animals a second chance. But buying from breeder is ridiculous because you have no idea how abused or overbred the mother cat is. There is no regulation on breeding so the animals may be being poorly treated. Supporting breeders is cruel.

First of all: He‘s so cutee and congrats on your first cat ❤️😭 Some tips: 1. A second cat is a good idea, he‘s so young and still very easy to socialize and would certainly benefit from a play buddy. Please check your local animal shelters, the kitties there need love too and especially around this time of year (summer vacation) they have a lot of cats that need a new home. 2. Make sure to do some research on cat food, a lot of the food you can buy in the store is full of low quality meat and sugar. Good cat food is important, if you want your cat to stay healthy. 3. Check if the plants in your apartment are cat safe and also research on whats toxic to cats (for example garlic is toxic for them, so it should not be left in the cat‘s reach). 4. If you leave your windows open unattended make sure to get these safety things for cats in the pet store or online. That way they don’t hurt themselves by accidentally closing the window on themselves. 5.Sometimes it helps to place the water bowl separate from the food bowl, if you want your cat to drink more. In the wild they would not drink where they eat either. 6. Play with him everyday, so he can get his energy out. If he gets older, he will be a bit calmer and you can pet him more :) But You are doing great so far, you can see that he trusts you already :)

If you are planning on keeping the cat inside your flat then definately get him company. Cats are not solitary animals. They actually form very tight family bonds. As a human you can never substitute for an actual cat friend (them cuddling up together, playing, cleaning each other,...). Speaking from experience, it is not much additional work having 2 instead of 1 cat. It can even be less stressful as you will not feel as guilty leaving them alone from time to time or not having time to play with them because they entertain themselves. I have introduced my second cat half a year after getting my first one and then gotten a third after another whole year. As long as they are still young it is usually not a problem.

19:18 we had/have the exact same thing you *really* need to clean this *every* week sometimes even more often it’s perfect for the cats they drink the whole time but we just once forgot to clean it and it started smelling and even after we cleaned it like 456382 times the cats still don’t use it. Yeah that's super important some plants are even dangerous when cats are touching them. But cat-grass is the best thing you can do because cats need grass to puke there own hair out. If they are not doing this they can be in pain.

If you want your cat to stay hydrated you can mix their dry food with water or mix wet and dry cat food. In the wild cats get their hydration from the blood of their pray, so when they eat they get all their needs. So making their food wet is the way to go.

@@may16pants I adopted both my rescue cats as kittens. It's not just older cats in shelters! The last 2 rescues I had were only 8 months when I got them. They were very badly abused and starved, and were taken away from their "owner". Both those 2 cats, and the ones I have now (feral rescues), were very jumpy when I got them, and they needed a ton of TLC. They turned into the sweetest, most loving cats. It just takes patience and a lot of love! 😊

How fun is this rewatching this so long after😍✨ just some tips❤️ saw you looking at the applaws food that is a really good food brand!😍 in general with wet foods make sure there is no sugar or wheats and it’s a good thing if they tell you what kind of meat is in the food🥰✨ Clay litter is very dry for the paws I can really recommend wooden pellets like peewee but it is a very slow transformation from clay to pellets🥰 I LOVE both chili and taco they are the cutest boys🥰✨
