@@Rhileyn 🤣🤣🤣 so true. even if i love kpop or kdrama, i am not willing to pay that amount just for facial. i would just off eating healthy food or sleep better. using traditional facial from my country that is way more cheaper and avordable. my family needs the money i earn more that my face needs that expensive facial. i have a responsibility as a eldest daughter to provide my old parents daily. being the eldest in the family is hard enough.

Don't know why people are obsessed with this. She is asian its a big part of their life just to look perfect and young. Putting efforts to look younger and having good skin is nice but obsessing over it, and passing that obsession to other women with different genetics is unnecessary and only takes the self esteem of those women down, who dont have a good skin. They end up draining a lot of money on cosmetics and clinical treatments just to have "that" ideal skin, and its a filtered version anyways.

I learnt Chinese ear seeding, and I practise on myself. It works and the soreness will lessen as you press/massage them throughout the day. I don’t actually know where you can get them done, perhaps not in a spa. But yes when I was learning it, the Chinese doctor taught us to read symptoms as we look at the ear. If you see pale or swollen part of your ears it may indicate certain weakness in your body just by looking at which spot it is on your ear, quite fascinating. But the doctor also said even if you rub your ears regularly until it warms up would help with your overall circulation and health.

I'm skeptical of the idea of telling what issues a person has by looking at their ears. It seems a lot like cold reading that "psychics" do. Almost every adult, if asked, would admit to suffering from some lower back pain just due to modern living conditions. Probability dictates that if they identify back pain as a likely problem, they are likely to be right.

I had ear seeding done back in the early 90s to help me quit smoking, and it worked! acupuncture works so well; so does acupressure. it's normal for the seeds to hurt a bit. you have to stick it out and they stop hurting after a bit of time. for quitting smoking, I kept the seeds on for 2-3 days; after that, they pretty much fall off when you shower. is ear seeding really that uncommon in Korea? it's done at almost every acupuncture place in the U.S.

Uhmmm I think you understood it the other way around, ear seeding IS common in Korea, but they're quite pricey. In the US however, is opposite from what you say because Americans who see korean celebrities with ear seeds taped on their ears always question and get weirded by it cause they're not familiar with it.
@DianeH2038
@DianeH2038 3 жыл бұрын
@@justadrianalima um, no. I got my ear seeds in the 1990s and again in 2000; most Americans weren't really into kpop back then. try again though. ear seeding has been going on for thousands of years and originated in China, not Korea.
@justadrianalima
@justadrianalima 3 жыл бұрын
@@DianeH2038 I didn't say it originated in Korea, I just said americans don't recognize it and are always weirded out and ask a ton of questions when Korean celebrities have them on. So obviously, they're new to it.

It's not common knowledge to the West but it is well known in places like south Korea as mentioned. I saw in America, there were gold stickers... lol.... So in Korea, tiny rocks are placed in tape and stuck onto presure points on the ear since the ear is connected. And if the ear is hard and firm, it means something or things in your body are not properly working, so your ear should be soft, like a baby's.

2:47 - immediately goes to find honey buttered almonds, even though I have a tree nut allergy. I seed my ears at home. I had an amazing acupuncturist years ago who showed me how to do it myself. You can also find diagrams for the most common issues, like back pain. Amazon sells little individual ear seeds, not the strips you had. I've also seeded my mom's ears for her chronic back and knee pain. More often with her though I just press really hard on all those points and her back pain will subside. You can learn to do that to! :)

If a good ear seeded - don't know the technical term - knows what they're doing, they'll see inflammation at the points on the ear that correspond to the spine. There may be redness or it just looks different.

Oh, Tina...I love you! I’ve had ear seeding as an adjunct to acupuncture treatments. I bet you could have the same sort of treatment if you went to a Chinese medicine practitioner. In my experience, the heat you were feeling in your ears was an indicator that they had unblocked the chi, promoting healing and balance, so it was a beneficial result. Good luck!

BACK PAIN TIP HERE!! Hi Tina! Maybe the treatment helped your sleep but maybe it was your sleeping position (since you’re usually a side sleeper and that night you slept on your back). I used to have this problem, and it took me years to realize it was my mattress and also my sleeping position on that specific mattress. I learned that side sleepers should have a medium to slightly firm matterss, but never plush or too firm. Back sleepers get the best sleep and support on a much firmer mattress. I moved recently and purchased a new mattress, I went from a very plush medium to very firm, and the first few nights were a nightmare while my body adapted but I ended up buying a really plush mattress topper and WOW it made the biggest difference! It took about a week to break in the mattress & now my fiancé and I sleep like a babies EVERY night!! No more back pain either. The plush topper gives me the comfort I need when sleeping on my side or back without sacrificing the support that I get from the firm nattress :) Definitely take a look at your mattress! If it’s too plush you’ll always have back pain (whether you sleep on your side or back) so definitely get medium or firm. If it’s too firm and you’re sleeping on your side you may need a plush topper to give your hips a little more comfort. Hope this helps! ☺️

"I'm a side sleeper and usually have back pain" "Last night I slept on my back and didn't have back pain, so these ear seeds seem to work" 🤔 Something tells me your lack of back pain had more to do with your sleeping position and less to do with seed stickers on your ears. Looked like a nice relaxing facial though.
