The tape over the inward camera is a great peace of mind. It's hard to trust some companies' word. That is a really cool policy they have in place, pretty much you lose the privilege if you get in trouble, which is completely fair.

I’ve always thought Cascadias to be very user friendly. Back in my CR England days (ugh *shudders*) I had to be carful not to confuse the Cascadia’s handling with a SUV. I didn’t have that seatbelt beeper though thank God. I would be tempted to find the fuse for that seat belt sensor and pull it.

The companies come with more job stability at this point and the company covers fuel cost whereas I'd hate to be an owner operator right now high fuel cost and overhead could cripple a small business man/owner operator furthermore I think the government is going to push gas prices high enough to make companies the dominant force and owner operators irrelevant because there's always someone else to take those low paying loads since all the owner operators that I watch on YT won't take them.

One of those knobs on the side of the chair will stop it from bouncing. I think you can set how much it bounces. It should fix your seat height issue.

I've got my truck set up so wonderfully I don't want to switch ever. I have a shower bag hanging in the back with a camping toilet and pop up privacy tent, 40 lb battery and chest freezer on the bunk and chest drawers strapped down up there as well. Its very comfortable when I'm doing my down time. Only thing I'm missing is an electric AC so I don't have to idle the truck. I'll figure that out eventually too. OH its a 2017 Freight liner, my first truck. Love her

they have small inverters that plug into the 12 volt port then u can use the ac plug rather than using an extension cord

You may not know this, but most T680s that are set up like this one, the passenger seat slides inward and spins around to face the table...check it out and see. Yours may not have that option, but most do. I owned a T680 for four years and it was a great truck. A lot of comfort for my wife and I.

I don't like them either. As a L/O who pays for his own maintenance, I want my tires to last as long as possible. That means regularly checking tire pressures with a tire pressure gauge. Those wheel covers make that task more tedious and burdensome, and I can tell you from past experience as an aircraft mechanic that managers should never create more maintenance/inspection burden than absolutely necessary to promote safety. Those wheel covers will hide loose/missing lug nuts or wheel studs, and will also hide leaky hub seals, depending on the type of hub setup involved.

They may have the stops set too low if you hit a hard limit on the seat height. If it is still "squishy" at max height it may be a valve issue. Either way the seat should go higher with some fixin' or adjustments. They may have it limited because the inverter controller is in such a stupid spot...🤷‍♂️ if you can't get it fixed, there are some pretty thick seat cushions out there. I wouldn't reccomend a purple seat cushion unless you can get one to try before you but, they are way overpriced and don't always work right for some people.

That camera is a LYTX system. It tracks your hands and your head angle… it can detect devices in your hand. And you’ll notice the “dot” will go red if you do certain things, like a “bump & go” at a stop sign… it will say “stop for stop signs” and will say “distracted” it will also say “speeding” if you exceed your company’s set speed limit, for example, rolling down a grade… it’ll say it. Mine also had an issue picking up (detecting) my properly worn seatbelt (until) we utilized a contrasting color sleeve. Because our uniform shirts are black… the LYTX thought we were all unbuckled. Now, having said all this, I don’t really care if they “monitor” or watch… they won’t see me holding a phone. Too much to risk getting caught doing that in todays environment.

They gave me a new 2022 kenworth in November and I was stoked to have a refrigerator but did not like the fact they didn't have ac outlets for the microwave or tv and also miss my spotlight but I wouldn't go back to an older one without the refrigerator or wheel controls if I was given a choice. It sounds like your seat may need some adjusting, I would check with the shop.

Several observations: 1. That "catwalk" on the right side of your 5th wheel area should just be a cover for your snow chain rack. It should be able to lift up or tilt to expose the chain rack hooks. 2. The 5th wheel release and sliding 5th wheel are not new "KW features". Those have been options available to KW and Peterbilt tractors all along. It just so happens that CFI finally got their new KW's spec'd out with those features. 3. Doesn't your passenger seat rotate to face the desk? I noticed you never made mention of that capability in your old KW, I think in your video showing your intro to the Cascadia. My fleet has some T680's that have interior setups exactly like yours is, and our T680's have rotatable passenger seats. I've used one of them as a loaner before, and you have to set the height and forward/aft position just right to get it to rotate completely to face the desk without hitting the door or B pillar. See if your passenger seat can rotate. If it does, you won't need that store bought chair you have sitting on your upper bunk.
