Unfortunate man I don't know how you fell off either. I got like 60 hrs in ig world and just learned pogo the other day, also need to find myself a dual powder kinsect like yourself, getting buffs can be so annoying sometimes. Also just learned the ammo is considered food for the kinsect, I learned a lot from this vid! thanks for listening to my drunken ramblings man and good luck in your future hunts hopefully you get your atk jewels.

The double buff is from feeding field ammo to your insect

Thanks I actually went into the training room and it was actually as a listed move. It'll take me a bit to learn the best ways to use it but for now (SPOILER WARNING) it got me through Black Veil Vaal Hazak. that dude actually managed to make me fail a mission the first time. Second time he stood no chance though! His poison thingy is super annoying though, I still don't understand how i go from like 1/3 hp to 0@@BuffJungleandMid

@@alfado622 you need effluvia resistance or the skill called effluvial expert to negate the debuff from Vaal Hazak.

my only issue with IG in World/Iceborne is there's need for Kinsect Buff on top of your usual 3 extract buff, plus you need to tenderized monster parts 2 times, there is so much to maintain here. yeah, i know there's a decoration for that but it's on endgame content right? right now i'm stuck with the charm that had that skill i fell like IG on Rise/Sunbreak is a Major Upgrade, because the 3 extract buff is much better (Max Earplug + Tremors and wind i think?)

@@granthefato340 yes you only needed to feed your kinsect with one slinger ammo, but if you notice each slinger ammo have different buff time, for example stone is the shortest and i think the red ammo that monster drop is the longest buff time. my problem is the gameplay for IG on World/IB is need more to be maintaned 1. you have to gather the 3 extract 2. you could buff your kinsect (give red or yellow buff) but if you want both there's weapon bonus type that gives both 3. you should tenderize monster part twice with light weapon which is IG 4. repeat that don't get me wrong i love the kinsect customization, monster mount on World/IB. but for gameplay mechanic i prefer Rise/SB

I'm fairly new to MH overall and I just got to Iceborne. I have a couple of questions if I could. 1. When do you know to weaken the monster? Like when should you be going for that? 1a. I see that you can hook onto him with your weapon OUT. How do you do that? When I try to hook onto him (LT + RT) it shoots the Kinsect Pheromone thing. 2. Why do you never mount? 3. Why do you attack the head and not the tail for instance? 4. I notice you keep the camera mostly behind you. How are you doing that? In my game the camera is all over the place all of the time and causes me to miss a lot. Thanks!

1. the monster part will get white ripples over it when its weakened and usually lines up with enrage timer so weaken into wallbang is a decent way to sync them up 2. insect glaive is one of the weapons that has an alternate grapple you can change off the kinsect to the claw by pressing in the right analog when you aim 3. i find mounting to generally be a waste of time if its solo play unless you're bad at the fight then the extra knockdown will help you get some damage in, just dont mount unless the monster is enraged 4. the tails generally have mediocre hitzones where the face has really juicy hitzones so deal a lot more damage, you can focus the tail if you want to make the fight marginally easier by lowering its range on tail attacks 5. i'm not sure what you mean with the camera i generally play not locked on to the monster as i find it a lot easier to control the camera manually

New to MhW how do you feed your kinsect and descending thrust on Mnk having a hard time figuring out the keys

on Xbox its Y & B to feed Kinsect and right trigger to descend. I haven't played the PC version yet because my PC died before I could even try it out.

I see i'm not alone in missing most of my "pogo stick drop" 🥲 Forced myself to play something else than hunting horn in my 2nd Iceborne char and now i'm in love hate relationship with the insect glaive. Sometimes it's a pain to get the extracts

Try a faster kinsect or even a insect glaive that boost kinsect speed. Power prolonger skill can make you hold the power up for longer, I personally don't think it's worth using tho. I've been really enjoying using Flinch free skill with IG. also I'm also a ex HH main ;)
