@@RamenStyle I must admit, I don’t have the guts to play Tarkov, and I don’t have that much time. But your stories about this game are incredibly fascinating. Your calmness, prudence, culture of respect for other players and an optimistic, motivating attitude combine very beautifully together. One important lesson I learned in DayZ that I rarely see people talking about in Tarkov, even Pestily who is a ex-military seem to ignore this: never go sniping with tracers. They completely give away your position for someone who is paying attention, I've lost count of how many counter-snipes I got because the other guy used tracers. Yes, I acknowledge M62 is superior to M80, but the difference is marginal, and class 4+ helmets aren't that common this wipe, so I don't believe the 8% improved pen chance is worth giving away your position
@RamenStyle6 ай бұрын
I hard agree with this. The main reason I was using M62s here was just the fact that I had a lot of it, and barely had M80s - until I finished Revision at least. But even when I unlocked M80s, just felt compelled to use up all my 62s anyways which is why I was on tracers for the most of the video, heh. But I totally agree man!
@MessedUpSystem6 ай бұрын
@@RamenStyle progression is a bit odd this wipe for you to have M62 before M80 xD Once I got PK3 I basically rushed Revision to unlock M80 since my fav gun is the SR-25 and I like sniping with the M700 built for low-weight, I don't know what happens but I seem to play on another level when I'm using that gun, I get kills I feel I had no right to get haha
@fedoramikettv6 ай бұрын
I think the main reason is for long sniper shots. They can't see where the bullet is going with m80. Atleast that's how it's been explained to me. And it also is probs cause the MOA and the scope zeroing system is not accurate at all. So m62 is for those super long shots. But m62 is also bugged. And has been for like 4 wipes
@deathbringer98936 ай бұрын
@@MessedUpSystem not many people want to do revision i myself have about 3k rounds of m80 and i have been using it alot i would say
@MessedUpSystem6 ай бұрын
@@fedoramikettv I totally get that, and yes it can help to gauge where your shots are landing, but honestly, I'd rather use something like M993 when I get my hands on some since with it's extremely high bullet velocity I hardly need to compensate, and for the long range shots it is really a matter of experience with the gun. In DayZ for instance, there is the same problem of not being able to tell where your shots are landing unless you're using some modded absurdly high caliber like .408 or .50 BMG, but I've used guns like the Blaze and Winchester so much that I know where my shots should be going even if I miss

I do not play Tarkov anymore, but i like being a stealth sniper. The funny part is, i usually play assault/support guys, so assault rifles/lmgs/shotguns. But if i am solo, a few years ago i started playing as a sniper (due to games like battlefield 3 and 4 that i played a long time ago, i used to despise snipers, because they were just camping and not doing anything for the team effort) anyway, i liked playing as a sniper so much not because of the cool factor, but for some strange reason i discoverd that this playstyle fits me like a glove. The thrill of the hunt, and stalking an oponent, the anticipation what he will do next and where to setup an ambush is something out of this world. Key things i learned from other games playing as a sniper 1. I never go to the top buildings, because those are the most obvious spots. 2. I never have my back to the sun when im on a cliff top etc. 3. I usually conceal myself in dense foliage 4. I give 1-2 shots max and then relocate, usually to spots that i consider safe 5. i keep my distance and if the game allows it, i use traps. For example in hunt showdown. Those are awesome tools to cover your retreat. If tarkov had placeable claymores, i would use them a lot, if i still played. 6. When i shoot from buildings i do it from inside the building, standing far away from the windows, to conceal my muzzle flashes as best i can.

Nighttime lighthouse is also a lot of fun sniping on. I like to go above the rock right near the entrance and prone. Snipe all the rogues which can’t see you at night, and then wait for players. You either get them at the front of the entrance or running through the camp. Even if you see no players you get 6+ rogues

I am level 16 and I have a quest to find the secret recording room. I pretty much stopped watching after 6 mins because he was making it sound like it was his first time clearing but you don’t clear rouges without knowledge of knowing how. If you want to learn how to clear rouges just scav into the map a bunch till you can regularly loot them and extract. Then go in as pmc. If you are scared go into the offline version and find the back routes and safer paths. Probably one of my favorite maps. Tons of loot. Decent pmc and scav interaction which isn’t to crazy. The worst part are the rouges but they also give you a sense of security because scavs and other pmc can be shot by then too.

I have 1800 hours of Tarkov (not as much as some giga chads, but still a lot), and the lessons I have for Shooter Born are: 1. Don't force it from the start. Some kills will happen naturally as you play the wipe and as you complete Tarkov Shooter from Jaeger. I completed Lighthouse, Shoreline and Woods without going specifically for Shooter Born. 2. When you get to the point where you have to actually grind it - which will happen - KEEP. TRYING. It's only a matter of time until you find a couple of Timmies or dudes at the wrong place wrong time, but sometimes you gotta be persistent. It's not something you can control though. 3. Make use of events. This wipe people went outside of Interchange for the Bonfire event. People hunt for bosses when they're 100%. Use these chances to max your encounters and make those encounters easier for you. I have never been an "aim player" in any game I've played, so point number 2 was definitely massive for me.

As a seasoned sniper myself... he is learning. Keep it up. Love the vids. Tarkov needs more slower-paced and sniper content like this. A little tip from a sniper myself: If you really want to improve your sniper game, run the high damage rounds (Ultra Nosler, HP BT), and also go into an offline on Interchange, aim your scope at the sky and take a screenshot, open it in MS Paint, and then mark the impact points for where your shots land at a 50m Zero at each different distances (50m, 75m, 100m, 150m, 175, 200m, 250m, 275m, 300m, 350m, 400m, 450m, 500m), then have this image open on a second monitor during your raids. After enough raids you'll know exactly where to hold at any distance. This can even be effective for sniping with strange rounds like subsonic 9x39 or PS-12. Hollow points force you to place your shots very carefully and have more patience to land the perfect shots, but also deal a considerable amount of damage at range to any flesh you hit. This can make enemies weaker too if you need to swap to your sidearm, as the damage spread can lower their thorax and head HP if you hit an arm or leg or something. Plus - one taps to thorax.

Just an advice for people that try to be snipers, Make your vision smaller by backing off into places with alot of cover, dont stick your guns out of windows or stay next to them, MAKE YOUR VISSION SMALLER this way enemy will never spot you, even if they do one of them will die and you have planty of time to work on your next position. NO USING OF TRACERS its like telling everybody hey here i im... Try to find dark or well covered places and MAKE YOUR VISSION SMALLER aproach it like a real sniper... I know you guys dont know anything about it. Watch some videos maybe of how soldiers do it IRL. Im ex military done urban combat courses alot of time. Every sniper will tell you the same. If you not sure about your position dont take a shot... Find one you feel comfortable and always have an EXIT plan. You cant just go into a position and say hey i like this one without knowing WHAT IF somebody spots me first or WHAT IF they spot me after the shoot. Without a plan you just a running chicken. Just look on his first death, if he had BACKED OFF a bit by making his vission smaller the enemy probably wont even see him. Just an advice. You aiming at 1 target at the time you dont need to be standing this open. You got your target BACK OFF

I'm no Tarkov player, but I'm really into sniping. And a rather unconventional way that I found useful to learn how to snipe is to play as infantry. Just play as your enemy. If you condition yourself to act like your average opponent and apply your vision as a sniper or designated marksman, you will find blind spots to be used as FP, OP, or travel routes. If you don't want to play as infantry, find a random non-mainstream youtuber, in other words, an average player, and study how they move. I have done this in games like Battlefield and ARMA, and even tho they are very different, the concept is applied in the same way. I am no specialist, no pro player, but I find this works good for me.

I should work on a video on this topic soonTM! So many ways to look at this, but my personal take on it: gear fear goes away when you realize money is easier to come by than you think. Learning the real value of money in Tarkov is realizing it's easy to make. And you realize that you can make profit by surviving a raid with a bag that's at least half full. Literally, don't overthink what to pick up in raid. Just pick stuff up and fill up your bag. Duffle bags, lose loot, med bags, jackets, filing cabinets, etc. You don't need bitcoins every raid to make money. In a nutshell - surviving = money making. Dying = losing money, since you'll be re-buying kits over and over again. So many more things to break down, but I might work on a video about this soon enough!
