Lovebites has an unofficial 6th member, Mao, who is the former keyboardist for the band Light Bringer (no longer a band). He assists in composing and arranging some of their songs. Speaking of Light Bringer, their former singer, Fuki, is the vocalist for the metal band Unlucky Morpheus. They consider themselves to be melodic speed metal. They are currently active and if you want to check them out try their song Dignity of Spirit 🤘😊🤘

Great reaction and observations. Backing tracks, loops and off stage music happen. Part of this is the creative use of overdubs such as Randy Rhoads did. There are other musicians who may play multiple instruments. They can do this in studio but one can only play one instrument at a time (except Miyako). Steve Harris of Iron Maiden is the bass player as we know. He is also the keyboard player in studio. I believe during concerts Iron Maiden has Michael Kenney play keyboard parts. There are more ways than one to be fluent in a language when not a native language. One can speak fluently, read fluently. or write fluently. One could do all three for a second language. I agree that Asami who wrote the lyrics for this song and Miho both write lyrics better than many people who are native English speakers. I think that Asami and Miho can both read and write English fluently. Asami does speak and sing in English with the cutest accent. There are several things I like about the lyrics of Lovebites. One is they tell a story. Another is they don't have a lot of one or two line repetitive choruses. Many of the choruses are full verses. They also use pre-chorus in some of their songs. Miyako wrote the music and did the main arrangement. Each member arranged their own part. When I said no one can play two instruments at the same, I didn't count one man bands who use special rigs. I am really talking about two separate instruments that must be played simultaneously using your hands. Miyako can do this. Check out Burden Of Time kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoCll5J9o52YnNU For a song that shows off Asami's blues vocals I recommend Dancing With The Devil kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3uqmH98ibWAe5o Love her riffing at the end. A song I gained a new appreciation for when I saw their most recent live performance Heavy Metal Will Never Die from Ride for Vengeance Tour is Frozen Serenade. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5aboYSMqpKFhJo

Unfortunately, there are many fans and some reactors who do not realise there is backing at all. Please don't apologise for pointing out the obvious, it has to be done. Well done on appreciating that Asami, sings in a second language. Again to emphasise the ignorance of some reactors, they complain she is not singing in English or moan about her English diction. Thank you for your comments and observations. Lovebites can play various forms of metal and weave in their own style.

There's one song, I forget which one, where Miyako is playing the piano with her guitar strapped to her back. I have to assume she might be the only classical piano player in the world you will ever see doing that. She has several pets, two of which are an Owl and a Python. Not what you would generally expect from a demure girl. A world class guitarist I know, met her and said she was kind of quiet and demure, much like she is on stage (in regards to her facial expressions). I don't know if you've noticed Asami's arm movements, and how smoothly all her moves are, in general, but this comes from her ballet training. She really showcases her arm movements in this one, moving much like a swan might move. Another thing I love about Asami, is that in certain songs you will see her center stage during the dueling guitar solos with her arms stretched out kind of pointing to Miyaki and Midori, as if to say "Watch my two bad ass guitarists rip your face off! Japanese females bands in general , more than most I've seen, quite frequently show a lot of mutual admiration and respect for all the other members in the band, and as you've seen, part of this is the quite frequent features and solos of each member in most every song.

Another informative and entertaining review (loved your self deprecating piano demo!). A sense of humour is sometimes lacking on reaction channels. I had to smile when you said no-one can play guitar and keyboards at the same time. You walked right into that one, just watch Miyako! (Someone has linked it below). She is truly a musical prodigy, a once in a generation talent. I just acquired my third Lovebites blu ray from Tokyo (the 2019 Daughters of the Dawn concert), so I guess I'm well and truly hooked. 😅

The one band member’s name that will come to prominence is Miyako, the pianist. She started playing piano at age 3 and as it’s her primary instrument, she is a world class concert pianist. She also composes much of Lovebites’ music. She really is a rare musical genius. All of the members are highly skilled professionals. Miho the bassist and Haruna the drummer are the original founding members of Lovebites having come from the band Destrose. Lovebites are phenomenal!

Once you discover Lovebites, your life changes forever. Wolfpack keeps growing. Miyako is known as: "the golden touch". That is certainly true! The drummer Haruna is known as: "little BIG engine". Midori is: "crazy shredder". Asami is: "the one and only voice". Miho, the bass player, is no longer in the band... but she was known as: "natural born headbanger". Keep exploring Lovebites. The more songs and videos you see and hear... the more you will understand the sheer scope and magnitude of talent this band has.

LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics: If this was the last day you could live on this earth Would you still go on, accusing someone for today It’s better to fail than not do anything at all It is not the length, but depth of life that counts Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been though despair Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to not care You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life Sometimes the life of one can save so many more Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)

Lovebites varies on styles, you have just watched two of the most Power Metal songs they have on their catalogue. But they can go harder, to thrashy stuff, like in *Break the Wall* or *Set the World on Fire,* or they can go to a more power ballad R&B inspired music, like in *Edge of the World* or *Epilogue,* among other things they do. Even hard rock *(Don't bite the Dust),* Symphonic Metal *(Under the Red Sky)* or progressive symphonic like in *Dystopia Symphony.* Check some of their other stuff.

i seen many LB Vids reactions, sadly i dont get them really(edit: the Band), but this Song, like you mention partly, got no overtechnical highlights(set aside the pianoplaying), but on the other Hand, i really get that one because it gives me the Starblazers, Gundam One, Mazinger, Harlock Íntro Song Feeling, for me personally this is priceless and an Treasure. And something i always does get me upset....would anyone plz give the Drumlady the Cudos she really deserves, sitting there in her Weddingsetup, double Bassing and going nuts with the Precision of an Metronom, yeah, she might have an little bit Bumblebee Charme, but she is so into it, and an Anker of Timing for all of them, HUG HER NOW! I often wonder if bands who have English as their second language write such good or interesting lyrics because they're culturally different to native English speakers and so don't get drawn into using cliches. Whether there's anything to that or not, Lovebites write some tremendously uplifting lyrics at times, and they're always interesting from a lyrical point of view. Another great reaction... I won't drop any recommendations because I think I gave you eight in your last Lovebites video, and I know there are going to be plenty more already here!

I think you may have nailed it. Less cliches. Could also be that in order for foreign bands to become known in the west, they already need to be exceptional. There are less weak links in the upper echelon of a genre.

Thank you for featuring Lovebites, the best new metal band to come along in decades. Some background on "Swan Song" for your viewers: Chopin (pronounced Show-pan) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the greatest classical composers of all time. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now one of the best metal guitarists in the world. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). All five members of the band are Jedi-level musicians, but I think Miyako is a once-in-a generation talent, a true savant. And yes, she actually can play the keys and the guitar at the same time.

Just wanted to add another band for you since you will get more LB songs from others. Try >>> Unlucky Morpheus, a Japanese co-ed speed power metal with female vocalist. Unlucky Morpheus "Angreifer" Official LIVE - official channel (they have a real violinist) >>> kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXiuiJqDaa6CncU Here, the lead guitarist is opting to growl for the whole song. They are all mad talented musicians.

For something very different and unique, I would recommend you check out: WAGAKKI BAND. They are AMAZING. They are an 8-piece band that mixes traditional Japanese instruments with modern instruments. The singer, Yuko Suzuhana, is a goddess. Prepare to have your mind blown. Here you go: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3TFlKWLrbOiopI

LOVEBITES is the evolution of all their musical influences through their remarkable synergy amongst all the members into music that is neither defined nor confined by genre, gender or nationality.

Part of the reason I listen to a lot of female bands is that I can't stand demon growl-style lyrics (aka "extreme lyrics") and a lot of female bands have vocalists who don't do this. I don't feel I'm missing anything.

It's not for everyone and honestly I was in the same boat up till about two months ago, when I decided I should look into it. I have discovered so many bands I was missing out on. For me it was really worth the effort to look past the vocal style. Now I'm actually quite interested in the techniques.

Kinda takes your breath away, Huh! Could you tell the Miyako started piano at 3 yo? At 17/18 she decided she wanted to play guitar. Got a guitar and "how to play" book (no Lessons) and here she is!! Miyako wrote the music and does her own arrangements. Asami (vocals) wrote the lyrics. Miyako has her own home studio and Midori will come to practice so they stay in sync. Their are songs sent to Finland for final production. Miho (bass, band founder) wanted a European sound.

Yeah I heard they use Nightwish's mixing engineer. Definitely a good choice.

The thing is, I don't like this sound, or anything that smacks of Iron Maiden or Dragonforce or any of that crap. The drummer just plays fast but is boring and the guitarists just stand there looking bored and don't really look engaged enough in the event of it all. Band maid play better and are really having so much fun and express a level of joy in performance that many western bands should learn from. Lovebites just look bored and boring to me, as if the flouncy dresses were actually what is important.

here is a question, why are you here, if you don't like the band, don't watch the video, this is what normal people do, but you band maid, fan boys don't seam to get that, as far as your opinion, nobody here cares, and with that said i will give you my thoughts on your band....the Jrock version of nickelback, if they beatle up there sound, they can do power pop, emphasize the pop part, since that is what they do best, yes it's pop garbage, they suck, band nickelback maid.

Akane and Haruna are very good friends and respect each other, so I think your comment will make Akane very angry. 😂

The thing is, no one cares about what you like. Why do you Band-Maid fanboys keep polluting the comment sections of other bands? Are you guys this insecure? Even funnier given that they are many, many bands better than Band-Maid out there. Even if you exclude Lovebites.

@@cepho8349 their shit gets old after awhile, personally i don't give a fuck about band maid, i don't watch any videos that have to do with them, if they don't like Lovebites don't watch, simple as that.
