Just FYI, 3 things about buying a new ship to repair: 1 most likely the ship you'll buy will be missing the transponder, so you may have to buy one. 2 you don't need to drive the restored ship to the station, you can sell it at the same kiosk. 3 I think the dimension of the ship increases the value you can sell them at: I bought a box for 61k and sold it for 500k adding 100 walls and 300 floors, dismantling entirely a shift like the one you are docked at for spare parts.

I got lucky with mine when the Old Bill came aboard, I managed to suck up to them and the left me...I aint buying no scrap permit. Added bonus, the pirate who "surrendered" to me then attacked me, then surrendered also walked on to the police ship as I told them to leave.

Jess talk about police brutality for a slap on the wrist. I didn't know they have e border torpedoes. Ok Edit: I didn't see the ship flipper coming but that brings up a more interesting thought. Story wise his char doing all this work on ships makes sense that he could not only be a ship flipper but a ship builder. I'm not sure if there are places in the game for all the parts you could want for a ship but he can just completely scrap entire ships and the use the parts to rebuild them how ever he wants. Oh this sounds so cool as an idea alone!!

recently got the game was illegally scrapping one of their ships starts chasing me so i just use a quick turn maneuver and face their ship and went full thruster into them didn't take a lot of dmg and knocked them away from me and they stopped chasing so idk if i damaged some of their components but thank you for getting me into the game

I had the same reactor heating issue on my ship. I tried a few things but my final solution was just to put two coolers in there, link them to a signal box and have them running all the time. You can do it with one cooler but I like the redundancy.
