Guys I see some criticism in the comments that I’d like to addres: 1) the multibind combo that I made was a fun science experiment to show what the source engine is capable of. It was (and still is) completely allowed and is not a macro. Macros are third party softwares people use to play games in a way NOT indended. 2. I was playing a game with my friends, chilling having fun and then someone suddenly tells you u are macroing and I said no I am not and I explain why. Then I get told everyone thinks I am a joke and I am a cheater. When you just switch games and you spend a lot of effort in making educational and helpful content this is not exactly super fun and yea I do agree we all said stuff we could’ve avoided it still is an important point that it wasn’t unprovoked. 3. I am also just someone who wants to have fun and play with my friends and when you stream for that long its easier to get frustrated sometimes and I apologize for that, but I thought it would be funny for you guys to see that not every game is just smile haha and laughs. I would place the multi bind in the category of "exploit". If you want to explore and discover exploits, that's fine. But they should be reported to the devs first, giving them at least the opportunity to fix them. There's an argument to be made that sharing them publicly will make devs get to serious problems faster, but it can also make the game less enjoyable to other people who are unaware of the exploits. Although the distinction from macros is true, it has little meaning if the result is nearly the same. Clearly if someone disapproves of macros, then it isn't a stretch to understand why they would not be okay with this exploit either. Many games have punished players for taking advantage of exploits. I don't believe this is a severe one, but it can set a bad president.

Just man up and admit it, showing that something is an issue is one thing, providing people a complete guide how to do it is another. It doesn't matter what state of development the game is in, you're promoting and teaching people how to do something that ends up making regular games shitty.

It's crazy that, just because he's a youtuber/streamer he's held to some crazy standard. Like he's just a dude and everyone be scrutinizing every little comment and action. I would get annoyed if everyone accused me of cheating even though im not. He's not allowed to be upset? His premades aren't allowed to defend him? Take a hike. Keep being you Mr. Jonas. Don't let the haters get you down. And there's a huge portion of your audience that enjoys the Deadlock content and labbing.

Jonas while you hit the uppercut you can do a light melee for some extra damage, is like the jump uppercut heavy melee but less situational

This is such a painfully easy combo to pull off without a macro or alias. I know because I'm not great but can still pull it off usually without issue, even if I fatfinger it. This game really needs a chat mute added.

@averagejonas It looks like your full combo is 3 (pull) > 2 > 1 > V > 2. but wouldn't then the echo shard reset knockback cooldown instead? I would expect it to be 1>2>V>2 or 2>V>2>1. quite confused

echo shard resets the cooldown of the last non-ult ability, so it's always (2 > V) somewhere in the combo. 3 > 1 > 2 > V > 2 will upper cut them before they can ability or dash, which prevents things like abrams immediately shoulder charging you. The bombs will get placed before they get out of range via uppercut

Although I don't agree with the person, I can definitely see why they would be mad about it. If I was playing against someone I knew "cheated" at some point before and never heard them say they would stop, my mind would probably make up stuff about how they must be still "cheating" too. I say "cheating" with quotes because I know a lot of people would debate if it is or not since it can be done by anyone in the game. Personally, I feel that if you had to use console commands to access it in a way regular players wouldn't know to do, that would be considered an "unfair advantage"

well tbh despite it not being a macro it is an unfair advantage and the devs said they'd allow it since its just a playtest but they will remove it in the soon to be future i'm pretty sure all high mmr players using something akin for each character, shoot i've seen people with aimbots already lol...

I dunno but... Hook wait for the guy to get infront of you 2 V 2 then 1 whats hard with that? quick cast helps alot but dang 10k hours in dota? Tinker and invoker users are faster than light when casting, i guess Tinker users were macro users they're so fast

Because they dont understand what it is were sl@ves hired by valve using a pyramid scheme to test the game for bugs and exploits and report it for FREE, its not yet time to be competitive just enjoy ze game Dont mind them, thanks for revealing that 1 button bebop because it can be updated and removed if you just kept silent on it it might be just an open exploit for a few users, keep up the content!

Isn’t mo ultimate already quick cast? Jonas has all his items set to quick cast by using this command in console (F7): bind e "+in_item1;+attack;-in_item1;-attack" (replace the number with your designated item slot. Make sure the key is unbound ingame Here u go btw

@@Epindary well - macros are generally not allowed in mobas or any competitive video game, which will be the same as in deadlock as stated by valve and shown and respected by Jonas. Not allowed ≠ cheating, no difference

I wanna be clear. Multi binding IS using a macro. Does not have to be thru a third party. Source engine has all kinds of ability for null binds and multi casting, but it IS cringe to use that shit to take out skill. Not saying that what Jonas is doing this game, but he does have videos using these consistently, which is cringe. Like you said multiple times, it’s not that hard to hit the buttons. Play the game! Don’t code your keyboard to play for you. We’ve already seen valve doesn’t like that anyways.

That Infernos was a bit butt hurt. ^^ Played a game against bots today to learn how this all is done. Tried Haze, but I think she is too squishy for my taste (and for a beginner like me). Will try another one with Kelvin next, because I like support characters with slows and healing. But the test match showed me that you make it look a lot easier than it is.

Why is this just Jonas and his premade bullying a guy for rightfully being suspicious of someone who people know used macros. *Morally questionable* Edit: I don't mean to send hate towards Jonas, and I clearly just wasn't the target audience for this type of video! That's all. I can also see why it is frustrating to have people call you out for cheating when you aren't, and all people should treat each other respectfully regardless of your background/position. I guess I just assumed Jonas would, at some point ignore the infernus rather than continually provoking him.

it's not really bullying? bullying implies that it's a one sided making fun of them. there was a back and forth where the infernus started out the conflict by being incredibly rude. it wasn't just an accusation, it was saying everyone thinks he's a joke and that he has no skill etc. are they just supposed to thank him about it? trash talk is p common in these types of games, and you shouldn't dish what you can't take. bottom line is if he's going to come out swinging with that energy he shouldn't be surprised when he gets that energy back.
