just wondering why to Singapore .. flights go direct to BKK from Clark?

I saved 5000 PHP and had a 12-hour layover, which allowed us to take a quick tour of Singapore. We even managed to shoot a video while we were there. I really enjoyed it, but unfortunately, it was a bit pricey.
