KZbin is usually protecting the sound recording or "SR" copyright, but everybody has a right to do a cover. This means that everybody and just about everything can sing ( perform ) a song, you just can't reproduce the original SR without CLEARANCE or permission from the licensor/ author. The original sound recording is what's copyrighted. You would also need the permission of the author if you would have modify the original lyrics and music and publish it. As for publishing, if this is considered to be publishing, you would run into the copyright problem if the AI incorporated it into another work and published it or could be considered to be making money from it. if it's considered to be a performance by the Ai that's a cover and no violation.

It’s inevitable people just make their own to achieve this at a much better level-and the foundation for those are well set by now. As a producer/vocalist and artist manager for the last 5 years, I’m actually so excited for these capabilities. Maybe can’t have exactly Taylor Swift’s voice in your song, but you can pitch AI-Taylor’s voice an octave or two up or down, and it’s not Taylor anymore. Prob wanna add a little more fx but we’ll have to see legal precedent set to see what exactly will determine so

The model has the capability to do this, obviously, but has guidelines to not do it, and to disclaim having the capability whatsoever. But you cleverly jailbreaked it first by framing the request in a way that turned its attention away from what the request was actually about. After the model had already begun engaging in the "role-playing" activity, it just kept assuming that it wasn't doing anything against the guidelines since it's only immediately before it begins doing something that it assesses its conformity with the guidelines.
